Citi Analytics & Information Management team is a global community that objectively connects and analyzes information, to create actionable intelligence for our business leaders. It identifies fact-based opportunities for revenue growth and expense reduction in partnership with the businesses. The function balances customer needs, business strategy, and profit objectives using best-in-class and relevant analytic methodologies. To accomplish this, the group focuses on linkages of information, tools, and analytics. The role of Specialized Analytics Manager is part of Analytics & Information Management (AIM), based in Pune/Gurgaon. This is an Individual Contributor role, reporting into the VP leading the team. The Specialized Analytics Manager applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, Statistical model, Machine Learning based solutions and plans within area of expertise. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally, has responsibility for volume, quality, and timeliness of end results. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Responsibilities:

• Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
• Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis, which may include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques
• Incumbents in this role may often be referred to as Data Scientists
• Demonstrate an ability to apply curiosity and critical thinking and turn data mining, analytics, and derivative outputs / presentations into coherent business driven implementation proposals
• Applied statistics knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regressions, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.
• Having experience with traditional statistical analysis, graph theory / network science, and the ability to incorporate AI and Machine Learning capabilities including statistical modeling in Python or R, and not limited to random forests, ensemble methods, Natural language processing, text analytics, factors analysis / construct development and testing, machine learning feature development and engineering, etc.
• Good understanding & hands-on across Financial Crime (AML / Fraud / Cyber / Sanctions / Corruption / Anti-Bribery Risks and Typologies) domain, as well as transaction monitoring processes used to mitigate these risks.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
• Demonstrate the capability and maturity to work in an individual capacity but willing to meaningfully contribute to team efforts.
• Have experience in Big data/distributed systems analysis and tools such as, but not limited to: Hive, Spark etc.
• Hand-on experience using Python, R, SQL, Power BI etc.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated experience or training in written or graphic intelligence product production, and verbal product briefing or delivery

Qualifications:

• Total 7 to 10 years of experience (relevant 5+ years of experience)
• Financial/Business Analysis and/or credit/risk analysis with ability to impact key business drivers via a disciplined analytic process
• Provide analytic thought leadership
• Manage project planning effectively
• In-depth understanding of the various financial service business models, expert knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and how to apply the techniques to drive substantial business results
• Creative problem-solving skills

Education:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially MBA or Advanced Degree in Data Science / Information Systems, Business Analysis / Computer Science.
