Summary SW Project Manager for SiteScan in New Ventures R&D



Position Summary

Seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, and experienced person to lead Agile software development. The ideal candidate is a professional who is a program or project manager for a company that develops enterprise-class software applications, has led multiple teams of 10+ software engineers indirectly reporting to the candidate, with experience in managing geographically dispersed teams.

Strong management skills with a proven record of providing direction and leadership to others are essential. The candidate must be a highly effective communicator and problem-solver. The candidate must also possess demonstrated skills in leading and managing change; should possess the ability to pull together ideas and suggestions, shape them into a vision, and then implement this in the project plans.

Educational Background

Bachelors/ Master's degree in Engineering (i.e., Computer Science/Electronics) or any other advanced degree.

Professional Experience

• Minimum experience of 10+ years (not more than 14 Years) in technical areas and in agile software project management.
• Candidates from Medical devices background will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of project and program management principles.
• Uses project management tools to manage large and complex projects or programs.
• Defines and manages scope, time and resources of large scale, complex projects or programs.
• Facilitates identification of project or program risks/issues, develops and assigns responsibility for mitigation/resolution actions; manages mitigation plan.
• Refines project management methodologies for quality and project or program risk management.
• Refines AGILE methodologies for quality and continuous SCRUM Team execution.
• Synthesizes critical information and communicates business implications to stakeholders.
• Consults with the senior management team and non-technology organization personnel.
• Has depth and breadth of experience in project management; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities.
• Has in depth experience in AGILE/SCRUM methodologies
• Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations.
• Provides SCRUM Master Leadership in the form of leading, coaching, mentoring and/or training SCRUM teams
• Acts as a key contributor in a complex environment.
• Experience in highly government-regulated, healthcare/medical device environment.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams toward operational objectives.
• Ability to manage multiple project deployments and integrations.
• Aptitude to contribute to strategic goal-setting for department/business unit.
• Ability to manage conflict.
• Effective writing, speaking, and presentation skills required.
• Ability to manage others and set priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Experience working with matrixed resources within assigned programs and/or projects.
• Experience working with globally dispersed teams
• Solid understanding of software development work, practices and culture.
• Experience in delivering products within an end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Aptitude to contribute to strategic goal-setting for department/business unit.
• Understanding of and experience in stage-gate or similar innovation management process.
• Skilled in meeting facilitation, action item traction and follow up.

Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrated experience with all phases of the Design Control process (21 CFR 820)
• Understanding of FDA and ISO medical device development regulations; especially as they pertain to design control and product development
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams with strong understanding of disciplined product development processes, regulatory, and quality requirements.
• Experience planning multiple work-streams, identifying risk, and implementing action plans to optimize timelines and reduce execution risk
• Experience managing global supply relationships, including project timelines, development direction, and IP
• Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end product development process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent project planning software
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Demonstrated versatility and learning agility and Team oriented.
• Basic understanding of business / finance concepts (e.g., payback, rate of return, cashflow, income statement, etc.)
• Ability to use Microsoft Visual Studio - Team Foundation Server desired.
• Ability to use AZURE DevOps desired
• PlanView Portfolio Management knowledge desired.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) desired.
• Certified SCRUM Master Certification (CSM) desired.
