Brightcove is looking to hire a Software Engineer in Test to help ensure the quality of Brightcove\'s Live Platform. As a reliable streaming platform, we strive to ensure our releases never affect customers even where we are serving out millions of requests with hundreds of thousands of viewers at any given point of time. Job Responsibilities

• Work with the development team to develop test cases and prioritize testing activities
• Execute test cases and report results both directly and through automation pipelines
• Create testing plans, both manual and automated, for new and/or existing features
• Create & manage bug reports, communicate with the team, and verify bug fixes
• Contribute to existing tools, frameworks and related solutions, as well as building new tools that test things in new ways
• Work collaboratively with the development team to plan delivery, manage risk, improve quality, and streamline our software deployments
• Act as an advocate for Software Quality and the end users
• Work with Customer Support and Account Management to respond to customer impacting issues

Qualifications/Experience

• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance
• Experience performing a broad range of testing activities, including exploratory, end to end, regression, API, and performance testing
• Experience with backend automation testing tools
• Experience with video or media a plus
• Comfortable working in an agile/scrum setting
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient in programming languages; NodeJS / GoLang a plus, but not mandatory
• Expertise working with GitLab or GitHub
• Experience using Postman for API testing
• Knowledge of docker containers.
• Knowledge of Cucumber and Gatling performance tests is a plus
• Deep expertise in writing test plans, test cases and parsing
• Ability to identify dependencies/risks during sprint planning
• Collaborate with other software engineers, QA engineers, product owners, and UX designers for continuous improvement of product quality
• Experience with bug tracking / workflow management tools (preferably JIRA)
• Experience with Agile Development Process and agile \xe2\x80\x9cwhole team approach\xe2\x80\x9d testing
• Work Arrangement - On-site or Hybrid in Chennai.
