Job Description


As a Technical Architect ServiceNow, you will be responsible for providing architecture oversight to Tenneco’s projects as well as help in architecting solutions related to ServiceNow. You will provide thought leadership, review and advice on the clients ServiceNow Architecture and integration within ServiceNow modules and 3rd Party solutions, and build new methods and tools to be used across Tenneco. As a member of our Enterprise tools team, you will be able to work with some of the best technical members, and further hone your expertise in ServiceNow, along with exposure to other IT platforms and frameworks

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities for the ServiceNow Technical Architect is to analyze current technologies used within Tenneco and determine ways to improve the ServiceNow environment and its architecture.
  • Provide technical consultation in terms of using ServiceNow best practices for implementations and ongoing operations
  • Create technical implementation strategies from business requirements
  • Implement complex ServiceNow solutions in all applications/modules such as ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, SAM, HAM, ITBM, Security Operations, GRC and CSM.
  • Lead technical ServiceNow implementations, investigate complex issues and review code as required.
  • Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope
  • Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor technical progress of ServiceNow implementations and maintenance/administration tasks
  • Design ServiceNow technical solutions and also provide detailed specifications for those proposed solutions
  • Serve as an thought leader, to influence and develop scalable strategies, frameworks, and architectures
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to steer the best decisions and drive the right business outcomes
  • Provide expert guidance for best practices related to ServiceNow administration

Required Skills:
  • Strong working knowledge of industry best practices and leading standards.
  • Virtual team and global leadership experience is a must.
  • Ability to direct efforts of others in remote (foreign country) locations in different time zones
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in delegation, coaching & development, performance objective setting/reviewing, human resource planning and organizing global teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization and across cultures
  • Should have good knowledge of network/infrastructure/database/asset setup for an organization to be able to assist client using ServiceNow ITOM/ITAM
  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • Experience with scripting in the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, Jelly, and/or AngularJS for Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, Widgets, Background scripts etc.
  • Proficiency in using metrics to measure and model service delivery and drive continuous improvements.
  • Strong technical competency in customer support and metrics programs
  • Preferably ITIL v4 certified
