We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\xe2\x80\x99re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.
Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager. Introduction: The Service Analyst will work as part of the Service Transition team. The analyst will have responsibilities for the transition of new or amended services into operational support in collaboration with other parts of IT, in order to facilitate successful project completion and a smooth handover to service delivery. They will also review and improve operational services and processes, ensuring all new and changed services are implemented in a controlled manner and are fit for purpose with appropriate service delivery capability in place. What will you be doing?

  • To define new target operating models for new services.
  • To assure services provided by our IT supply chain are aligned and deliver against our target operating model and business IT strategy
  • Assuring and controlling the service modules for IT services in conjunction with service providers and other stakeholders (internal and external) where appropriate
  • Verify that the introduction of services will not corrupt the defined IT model and are sustainable
  • To maintain all aspects of the service transition process and its governance
  • Securing internal or external resources to deliver project operational readiness
  • Ensuring that new technologies are properly transitioned from build into run
  • Ensuring all products follow the Acceptance Into Run (AIR) process
  • Ensuring all products are fully managed/monitored
  • Ensure service contracts with vendors are in place with the proper SLA
  • Ensure training is conducted across the organization for new service/technology
  • Ensure all customer facing and backend systems are updated in order to support the new technologies
  • Ensure proper handoff to operation teams inclusive of documentation
  • Ensure the project is adhering to network risk profile:
o Technology stability
o Compliance to regulatory and mandatory policies
o Audit findings and issues assurance are fully addressed
o Adherence to all change management processes
o Full documentation for all deployments
o Knowledge transfer to support teams What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
  • Service engagement and transition management experience
  • Working knowledge of service management life cycle
  • Experience of managing relationships with other IT disciplines such as project management
  • Service management experience, including the management of third party suppliers in multi customer and provider environments
  • Strong communication skills to enable building of effective relationships across teams and other cultural regions within Barclays and key stakeholders
  • Evidence of organisational skills and the ability to multi-task whilst ensuring quality and attention to detail under strict deadlines
  • Experience of working with third party suppliers
Skills that will help you in the role:-
  • Has previous experience of working in a global delivery team
  • Has a qualification in an ITIL Transition module or working towards such qualifications
  • Previous Project Management and/or Service Management experience
  • Previous experience of Network and Voice infrastructure \xe2\x80\x93 routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls, voice systems would be useful.
  • Previous experience of automation - ansible, python \xe2\x80\x93 preferable within the network arena
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
