Role Summary/Purpose

This role is part of a global team of GE Vernova Travel Operations professionals. The role provides support in building a team of best-in-class talent and fostering an environment of strong collaboration and engagement. This role will establish relationships by building trust with internal and external stakeholders and developing and executing strategies to meet business outcomes. This position provides leadership and expertise for the day-to-day operations for GE\xe2\x80\x99s travel reservations and expense reporting processes, including managing strategic suppliers, reviewing/updating processes, and procedures, and interacting with travelers and business partners as required. This role will require coordination with the Business Unit Category Management teams to ensure a cohesive global strategy, coordinating sourcing efforts and policy, and executing initiatives. Partnerships with GE functional stakeholders in Business and Segment Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive total cost efficiency (TCE) are critical to enable the team to deliver excellent service levels to the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the Senior Travel Operations Staff Manager to strategize and execute plans for enhancing the overall travel operations process

Lead customer service and regional delivery teams within the Travel organization to include supplier management of business process outsourcing (BPO) teams that handle customer service cases from GE Vernova travelers and ensure timely delivery of traveler support

Create, execute, and lead global travel processes utilizing proven best practices, state of the art process tools, and world-class suppliers

Develop and maintain documentation outlining travel procedures, vendor contacts, and escalation paths for travel-related issues.

Partner with the Global Travel Category Managers, other business or functional partners and stakeholders across GE Vernova and multiple time zones on the best travel strategy for the company

Review customer service, accounting or audit systems and processes globally and eliminating variations (if any) & adherence to the enterprise standard

Collaborate with HR, finance, tax, compliance, and business partners to align Travel offerings to the travel policy, and adopt changes as required by statutory or regulatory changes

Partner with HR and Security on Duty of Care requirements, including ensuring travel data visibility required to provide medical, safety and security assistance to travelers in need

Drive benchmarking, best practices, and continuous improvement

Monitor the performance of various travel vendors and metrics within our infrastructure, addressing any issues promptly and ensuring adherence to agreed-upon service levels

Report & analyze T&L spend patterns

Implement travel processes with GE Vernova businesses (acquisitions, re-orgs, etc.)

Interface with other teams to improve and simplify handoffs between Travel and the regions and/or other enterprise standards

Assist in managing crisis situations related to travel disruptions, working closely with vendors to mitigate impact and ensure swift resolution.

Support GE Vernova\xe2\x80\x99s overall separation activities, including ramping down GE\xe2\x80\x99s legacy travel ecosystem and supporting a successful exit for GE Healthcare, GE Aerospace, and GE Vernova

Qualifications/Requirements

Significant experience in Sourcing, Operations, or equivalent consulting experience related to other professional services

Demonstrated ability in leading organizational, process, and culture change

Ability to travel to meet business needs (up to 30%)

Desired Characteristics

FMP/CAS or equivalent leadership program

Strong oral and written communication skills

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to optimize travel operations

Prior supplier management experience

Strong understanding of travel industry trends, best practices, and regulations

Prior travel operations, expense reporting, corporate card, or online booking tool support experience

Strong communicator - ability to work with all levels of leadership

Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills in a cross functional and cross-cultural environment

Strong accounting skills, knowledge of GE\xe2\x80\x99s accounting policy and practices

Solid controllership mindset and ability to consistently manage policy across functional lines

Previous experience with T&L accounting processes, including familiarity with Concur data extracts interfacing to SAP and/or Oracle ERPs

Previous experience implementing Concur, including employee training, communications
