Job Title: Senior Test Manager (Offshore Testing) - BNP ISPL Mumbai Date: 12 Apr 2023 Department: IT Transition Management Location: Mumbai Business Line / Function: Testing Reports to: (Direct) Department Head Grade: (if applicable) (Functional) Number of Direct Reports: Minimum 5+ Directorship / Registration: NA Position Purpose We have a Senior Test Manager role to join our extended workbench at offshore, this position will supervise and manage all testing activities (Automation/Manual/Performance) across projects provided by offshore test team in line with service description. This team at offshore would be an extension of our PI GY testing team. In this role you will support in the development, execution, and maintenance of automation test strategy, plans and extend automation test coverage. You will also be responsible to work with the onsite testing teams to understand book of work, extend test automation, and manage offshore deliveries in context of testing. Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Experience in quality assurance department in BFSI domain having managed large varieties of products, which are technically enriched especially in a matrix origination Manage multiple software testing projects and resources, design & architect test automation framework and develop new test automation libraries. Contributing towards defining SOW and enrich the services offered Should be able to take on offshore leadership responsibilities, influence, and leverage the existing testing process and test tool kit to create reusable test assets. Involved in supporting or improving the master build test processes, environments, test data management and scripts. Identify and report to onsite counterpart questionable functions, performance concerns, and inconsistencies Should be an innovator and always ready to pitch ideas and test new approaches aligned to PI GY Test Strategies Being offshore SPOC, you should manage the hiring, training / Mentor, Process maturity and assessment, involve in QA reviews and track the outcomes until the successful closure. Should Collaborate with all stakeholders and ensure that build / code drops to quality assurance are of the highest quality and available on time for test. Strong knowledge on Testing Lifecycle and ability to prioritize tasks for self and whole team Responsible for review of existing test packs for improvements and enhancements. Continuously improve automated tests for new system features and enhancements Ensure the team executes automated tests and manages the resulting defect log through the point of defect fix validation. Ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place and kept up to date Assist in the identification, selection, and implementation of tools, technologies, and practices that support the overall QA process Contribute to accurate time estimates for automation test development Experience building automation frameworks for web-based software as well as on mobile platforms. Provide analysis for continues improvement towards test effectiveness, Part of Governance meeting by providing weekly/monthly/management metrics to showcase application issues and improvements Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment Contributing Responsibilities Ability to manage test creation in chosen framework by reviewing code and user stories Experience in automated testing into CI/CT framework Ability to articulate and drive sustainable processes Strong interpersonal, project management and organizational skills Detail oriented self-starter capable of working independently. Experience in Agile development environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to document and design proposals. Good Stakeholder management skills Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills Experience with Selenium/GitLab/ Appium/Jira/X-ray and Performance tools like NeoLoad (good to have) Technical & Behavioral Competencies Must have end to end project life cycle understanding and have good grip on latest technology trends for to align with business IT Strategy Specific Qualifications (if required) Graduate with minimum 14+ years of experience , managed big test teams with multiple projects experience with software testing of web-based applications using a structured testing methodology Skills Referential Behavioural Skills : (Please select up to 4 skills) Attention to detail / rigor Critical thinking Creativity & Innovation / Problem solving Choose an item.
