Network Infrastructure: The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia\xe2\x80\x99s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
The Network Automation - Optics NMS team at Nokia focuses on supporting high-speed optical devices and software automation. Our goal is to provide value-add applications that allow our customers to efficiently manage their entire optical network. We are currently working on cutting-edge technologies like Java, Spring, Hibernate, KAFKA/ZooKeeper, K8s, and SQL. We are seeking engineers who are passionate about these technologies, enjoy finding solutions to challenges and troubleshoot scale problems, and are ready to learn about the optics domain.
What you will learn and contribute to
We are looking for a senior technical hands-on individual contributor who is passionate and enthusiastic to work on developing new applications.
As part of the team, you will:
Perform high level designing using programming languages such as Java 17, Spring/Hibernate, KAFKA/ZK, SQL, Advanced Java Troubleshooting.
Utilize Kubernetes and cloud technologies.
Have familiarity with Linux.
Possess knowledge of the Optics domain which is a value add.
Have knowledge of NMS which is also a value add.
Be ready to learn and explore new technologies.
Demonstrate the ability to design new features and applications.
Mentor team members technically.

Your skills and experience
You have:
Design thinking: Ability to approach problems and find innovative solutions with a user-centric mindset.
Industry knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry or field in which the job is focused on.
Analytical skills: Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to make informed decisions or recommendations.
Ready to explore: Willingness to step out of comfort zones, try new approaches, and explore uncharted territories.
It would be nice if you also had:
Optics domain knowledge: Understanding of optical technology, principles, and applications.
NMS (Network Management System) knowledge: Experience or familiarity with network management systems used to monitor and control network devices.
Netconf/gRPC/OpenConfig Model: Proficiency in network configuration protocols (e.g., Netconf), remote procedure call framework (gRPC), and network data modeling language (OpenConfig) for efficient network device management.
