Senior Technical Specialist

You will be working as Senior Technical Specialist and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Bangalore; India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Engineering Manager Responsible to Lead technical expertise assignments of medium complexity. Contribute to the development of technical expertise solutions and services. Participate in the creation of technical expertise business strategy.

Your responsibilities

• Works independently using solid competency in technologies, tools, and methods to determine and develop ways to solve them more effectively.
• Leads coordination with relevant functions for resolution of technical issues in own area(s) of expertise.
• Coordinates technical Support to lead level 3 case management for resolution of technical issues.
• To carry out the development activities related to development of Libraries for Power & Water Industries with system 800xA.
• Develop and maintain customer demos to showcasing product functionalities, features and value proposition for customers.
• Determines offered solutions and product versions, including extent of standard and non-standard solution scope to meet medium to high complexity customer requirements.
• Supports technical reviews and participate in core technical meetings.

Your background

• B.E in Electronics OR Electrical or Electronics & Communications or Instrumentation.
• Prefer min 6-8 years’ experience in Automation world either through engineering, commissioning, testing of automation systems or product testing.
• Overall knowledge of engineering, commissioning, and testing of DCS and instrumentation.
• Good knowledge on 800xA, S+, Cyber security, System design and Networking.
• Expertise in 800xA P&W Libraries development and maintenance – especially Power Utility, Power Utility Lite, Melody connect etc.
• Development and maintenance of system 800xA control builder libraries, faceplates, object types, graphics and services related to Power & Water Industries.
• Should have experience in debugging Libraries.
