About this Job: The Senior UI Developer will be a core member of the Nielsen Client Portal team. The team is developing new enterprise client portal services and needs an experienced developer who can work with the team to define and implement modern, scalable solutions across the web application stack. Rationale: The team is using new and interesting technologies and is looking for an experienced developer who has a passion for learning, solving complex problems and delivering quality products. Responsibilities:

• 
  Participating in detailed requirements, design, development, documentation and integration efforts
• Developing scalable, mission-critical web applications and services using modern tools and architectures
• Solving complex technical problems across the web application stack
• Working with the Product Owner and User Experience team to transform business requirements into technical requirements
• Leading development code reviews to ensure that the code being delivered is clean, secure and efficient
• Working independently, assuming strong personal ownership of complex technical problems and delivering high-quality solutions
• Participating in agile ceremonies (daily standup, backlog refinement and sprint planning)
• Working with Scrum Master to ensure sprint deliverables are on schedule
• Producing clear user and technical documentation, specifications and POCs as needed
• Great communication skills to enable interfacing with software vendors, internal clients, external clients and senior leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 8+ years experience in enterprise web software development
• Experience with some combination of the following technologies:
• Modern front-end JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular and Vue
• Core front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3
• CSS/component libraries like Bootstrap and Angular Material
• Modern back-end development environments like Node.js and Go
• Java
• Granular, service-oriented back-end architectures
• Enterprise data stores like Microsoft SQL Server and Redis
• Cloud-based infrastructure providers like Azure (preferred) and AWS
• Cloud-oriented tools, techniques and concepts like containerization, SaaS and PaaS

Front-end focus:

• React (preferred); other modern front-end framework experience considered)
• JavaScript
• CSS
• Single page application architecture

Back-end:

• Java
• Springboot
• SQL
• RESTful API design and development
• Distributed system architecture (microservices)
• Twelve factor application architecture
• OpenAPI specifications (creating and/or applying to development work)
• Message queues
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Ability to communicate technical design and solutions within team-focused atmosphere
• Experience reviewing and improving other developers' code
• Passion for technology
• Prefer experience with Identity Management concepts and systems
