Oliver Wyman is now looking for a Senior Talent Manager to lead the Talent Management (Staffing, Performance Management and Professional Development) for our fast-growing India Analytics team !!

This role will be based at our Gurugram or Hyderabad Office.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead the Talent Management for our fast-growing India Analytics team. This is a highly demanding position in a fast-paced, professional services environment.

The role will require the Talent Manager to actively and personally engage with all India based specialists and will know and understand their current strengths and development objectives, personal preferences and career goals. They will also frequently interact with the Heads of the specialist groups to address project staffing needs. A great sense and ability to collaborate across regions (especially IMEA and AMR) will be essential.

This role is integral to the smooth running of the business.

Key responsibilities:

Talent & Performance Management

Overall: Managing specialist expectations and preferences, ensuring they have a thoughtful career plan and strong mentorship/career advisory relationships, meeting with specialists on a frequent basis to understand their engagement levels and where help may be needed

Working alongside the Heads of DNA India, develop a career path and progression model (roles, titles, levels) that allows for development of long-term technical expertise and depth within the team

Responsible for running the performance management process. Read & QA reviews as they come in (challenge when necessary), organize and participate in review meetings, help facilitate discussions particularly for difficult conversations, and guide career development plans as appropriate

Proactively seek informal feedback from managers as projects are ending to ensure development needs are considered for next project as appropriate; seek informal feedback every 2-3 months on longer engagements

Provide career advice to specialists, and be aware of their preferences, development path and focus area

Ensure specialists understand their development needs and coach them on how best to grow professionally within the firm, with input from more senior Specialists and consultants

Employee relations \xe2\x80\x93 help specialists through difficult situations such as work life balance or with an uncomfortable team environment

Staffing

Possess a high-level understanding of the nature of the work performed by specialists to be able to better guide the staffing and structure of projects

For active (billable) projects, collect all relevant details from project managers, TM and Finance Team on roles to be staffed.

Coordinate and interact daily with the broader IMEA TM team but more specifically with the counterparts in the US to collaboratively and creatively develop options to provide \xe2\x80\x9cbest fit\xe2\x80\x9d solutions.

Manage key stakeholders and gain buy-in where necessary to staffing options

Confirm teams based on a balanced trade-off for the Partner, individual and other key stakeholders

Manage billable utilization for specialists, and facilitate reporting of key metrics

Active management of non-billable work, with input from Heads Of to prioritize resources appropriately

High standard of communication to ensure smooth management of decisions

Manage vacation approvals and extensions

Ensure MIS is updated to reflect real time staffing and beach assignments

Review utilization reports to ensure they accurately reflect staffing assignments and manage revenue leakage

Learning and Development

Hold specialists and their managers accountable for everyone doing at least a minimum level of ongoing training and development

Serve as a central point of contact and owner for DNA India training curriculum, coordinating contributions and directional decisions from across the team

Track completion by specialists and by consultants of each training program, especially those with contractual obligations (e.g. MMC compliance training, InfoSec training); to be used in staffing

Reporting

Run relevant reports (utilization, staffing, OW Balance, etc.)

Monitor timesheet submissions and chase missing timesheets

Co-ordinate the production of weekly consultant availability long lists and keep these up to date throughout the week

Data Integrity and Analysis

Responsibility for accuracy and management of data in resource planning database (Retain) and Workday

Ensure starter and leaver information is accurately recorded

Ensure training courses are accurately reflected in Retain

Take responsibility for monitoring the use and quality of information in the finance system

Run the weekly project extension and roll off updates

Input to monthly Retain/Timesheet variance process

Who we think would be perfect for this role..

Experience required

Ideal candidates will have at least five years of relevant professional experience a consulting or analytics set-up/ environment. Talent management and acquisition experience preferred.

Experience balancing ever-changing work demands in a challenging environment with numerous stakeholders to satisfy.

Proven ability to foster relationships at all levels of the organization.

Experience working with stakeholders within and outside India.
