Job Description

Summary: ArcGIS Administrator with a focus on deploying, managing, and optimizing ArcGIS Enterprise within the Azure Cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise applications in Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Configure and manage geodatabases within ArcGIS for Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, and other related services.
  • Manage the deployment of changes and releases across multiple environments, ensuring consistency and minimizing disruptions.
  • Monitor system performance, optimize server resources, and manage GIS services for optimal performance.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols for GIS services, applications, and data.
  • Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery, and data redundancy solutions.
  • Keep the ArcGIS Enterprise system up-to-date with necessary patches and version upgrades.
  • Collaborate with GIS developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to assist in troubleshooting.
  • Document system architecture, best practices, and procedures.

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with ArcGIS Enterprise deployment and administration.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud services, especially in relation to GIS solutions.
• Knowledge of database management and optimization, especially in Azure SQL Database.
• Strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial data, and geodatabase management.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for automating tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.

• ArcGIS Enterprise Certification.
• Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect Certification.
