Requirements

Principal responsibilities

• Provide front line production support for DevOps tooling services
• Improve MTTR & TAT for the services in-scope.
• Reduce Operational noise.
• Improve Service quality and automate the mundane tasks eliminating manual intervention.

Requirements (Skills)

Desired Skills

• Expertise in Nexus, SonarQube & IQ Server
• Knowledge of DevOps Tooling: Jenkins, Nexus, GitHub , Ansible
• Strong Linux system administration skills, predominantly RHEL. UNIX & Python scripting.
• Experience in build and configuration management ideally using Jenkins or Ansible.
• Demonstrate a current knowledge of latest DevOps tooling and practices.
• Capacity to contribute effectively when working as part of a team
• Be flexible under pressure
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility and be a self-learner.
• Interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to continuously provide high quality of service with strict adherence HSBC Group Compliance Policies.
• Pro-activeness, punctuality, confident and delivery focused, team player and adaptable to change.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to describe complex technical scenarios in a concise manner, both verbally and written, and articulating the content depending on the audience.

Technical Skills (Critical Tool specifics requirements):

Jenkins:

• Good understanding on Jenkins Master and slave setup.
• Must have strong expertise on creation and configuring jenkins pipelines using templates like (freestyle, Maven, Multibranch).
• Good understanding on GitHub.
• Should be able to troubleshoot the pipeline failures occurred in the pipeline run and try to make changes to fix.
• Hands on experience in configuring maven and Msbuild builds in jenkins.

Nexus:

• Hands on experience in managing applications on Linux environment and good understanding of file system.
• Solid knowledge on managing artefacts for different environments (staging, snapshot and releases)
• Hands on experience in creation of nexus roles and privileges and associating with repositories.
• Good understanding of hosted repos and proxy repos in nexus.
• Working experiences on admin tasks like managing users, repositories and Nexus IQ integration.
• Managing OSS repos like nuget, npm,pypi,maven ..repositories and good understanding on the configuration of proxy to external repos.
• Hands on experience on configuration files like Nuget. npmrc and pip

Sonarqube:

• Solid expertise on configuring sonar scans for various languages (java,python,.Net,javascript,sql ..etc)
• Should have hands on experience in configuring Jenkins CI/CD by integrating maven and sonarqube .
• Good understanding on sonarqube architecture and sonar scanner.
• Configuring quality gates and understanding on the code coverage generation for various languages.
• Expertise on understanding the sonar reports.

Nexus IQ:

• Should have hands on experience in integrating Nexus IQ and jenkins for generating scans for dependencies .
• Should have knowledge on the policies in nexus IQ and configure a new policy if required.
• Hands on experience on managing different organization and respective application under it.
• Good understanding on vulnerability, license and policy violation metrics for IQ report generated.
• Good understanding on Sonatype IQ API\'s.
