Job description
In your new role you will:
Spearhead test architecture definition and test specification activities

• Support integration of tools/framework identified for testing new use cases, for example OS and Hypervisor integration for Multiple ECU SW in single Virtual machine testing.
• Study new Autosar Architecture and requirements and define test design then methodology to be used for Memory and communication layer MCAL modules validation.
• Responsible for Mentoring team on topics like Memory allocation for complete MCAL SW, defining use case based tests with OS integration, Debugging (Traps, resets, failures of test cases etc)
• Responsible software Validation of device drivers (Eg : FLS, FEE,FLSLDR, MCU, SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, MEM, Timers, ADC, and PWMetc.) and safety software in an independent/RTOS environment on Infineon's automotive microcontrollers
• Analyse and provide inputs for Test Strategy and institutionalize the methods and related templates to enable the usage of the tools and test equipment wherever required/possible
• Envisage, implement, institutionalize and maintain the verification and validation methods and infrastructure (e.g. automation to improve quality and efficiency in terms of cost and time )
• Drive innovation in the form of new advancements (test methods/tools, test automation, test infrastructure) in the team
• Institutionalize software test processes compliant with Automotive standards (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE)
• Accountable for overall quality of validation deliverables
• Able to set the technical direction by providing suitable methods for testing /validation in the complete project.
• Ownership in reviews, Code /Test reviews.
• Conduct workshops and mentor the team on technical challenges being faced from time to time. (e.g. safety issues, common testing issues,)
• Plan and participate in future technologies and projects
• Generate new methods and techniques for better work models

Your profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Device Driver software testing which includes a good know how of standard software development Life Cycle.
• Experience in Memory Modules defined by Autosar like FEE, FLS, MEMetc.
• Good knowledge and experience on Linker files and compiler and linker options.
• Experience in AUTOSAR MCAL and exposure to ISO26262 [Expertise in other domains with embedded background more than welcome]
• Embedded system software development or Validation using C, assembly languages.
• Experience in the usage of LabView, NI FPGA, oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power benches etc.
• Experience in embedded system development tools such as compilers, debuggers, static analyzers etc.
• Working experience in scripting languages such as Perl, python, C#etc.
• Experience in the development/maintenance of the test automation and continuous integration frameworks
• Good knowledge of computer architecture (16/32bit), real-time systems
• Working experience on multicore and within core Virtualization machine platforms
• Ability and willingness to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Additional skills like Estimation planning, tracking is required on need basis.
• Ability to take ownership and work independently for new topics and later define guidelines for team to follow.
