Title of Job: Senior Staff Engineer Role Location: Bangalore, India
Position Description: This individual in Sr.Staff Wireless Engineer role will have broad architectural responsibilities working with senior Audio, Speech and RF domain counterparts to solve system level challenges for our current and future products. The successful candidate will have prior experience in wireless communications products on embedded Linux platform and demonstrated subject matter expertise in 802.11 protocols. This position requires expertise in the following areas:

• IEEE 802.11 network implementation
• Expertise with protocols and standards, including 802.11 n/ac/ax
• Enterprise security standards including EAP-TLS, EAP-Fast, PEAP and 802.11r
• Rate adaptation algorithms
• Power save modes
• QOS implementation
• Roaming and scanning optimization
• Linux WPA supplicant modification
• WiFi \xe2\x80\x93 BT coexistence
• Bluetooth integration into embedded systems, including Headset and Hands-Free Bluetooth profiles
• Experience integrating TCP/IP protocols including RTP, RTCP, SIP signaling, etc.
• Certifications such as FIPS 140-2, WiFi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG

Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of existing and emerging IEEE 802.11 WLAN protocol / features, WLAN security, Bluetooth, and TCP/IP networking protocols
• Solid foundation in embedded systems development
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, possess resourcefulness, and complex problem-solving capability
• A self-starter who can conceptualize complex system problems, diagnose them and develop a scientific approach to resolving them methodically
• Ability to lead/guide a small team of in-house or contract engineers towards delivering on-time milestones
• Must have passion for end-to-end development of quality software products and desire to make a difference in the team
• Should be results driven, self-motivated, outcome focused, learner with passion for technology towards solving problems in a collaborative team environment
• Great positive attitude, mentor for junior team members and team player overall
• Working experience UWB is good to have.

Requirements (what they need to qualify):

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 8+ years embedded Linux development experience specializing in 802.11 WLAN and Bluetooth
• Proficient in C programming for embedded devices
• 8+ years embedded products / solutions development experience
• 8+ years in IEEE 802.11 WLAN protocol development experience
• 8+ years of experience and/or exposure to IEEE 802.11 Security mechanisms
• 5+ years in overall TCP/IP networking protocols development background
• Extensive experience developing Linux based multi-threaded real-time application
• Experience in Linux network device drivers preferable
• Experience in Bluetooth protocol and WiFi-Bluetooth coexistence preferable
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language is preferable
