A day in the Life:

• Develop and Review Technical Specifications and requirements matrix, RCAs, and FBD/FMEA/Risk Assessments with internal/external stakeholders and end users to assure all functionality, agency and safety requirements are met
• Supervise/Conceptualize/ Create /Conduct & Document testing as per test plans (including functional and regulatory test cases)
• Analyze, and supervise End of line or factory acceptance testing to demonstrate complete functionality of the drive systems.
• Proficient in applying Systems Engineering fundamentals.
• Application of structured design principles as DOE to arrive at optimized configurations
• Independently lead finalization of design requirements (without aid from global engineering teams)
• Draft product requirements and technical specifications
• Build and mentor tech leads to develop design concepts, trade off analysis
• Own, review and approve all design documents & artifacts as per design process

Keys to Success:

Education

Bachelor\'s or Graduate\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant PG degree in Fluid, Thermal, Heat Power Engineering

Experience

• 15+ years of relevant Design and Development of Fluidic related projects.
• Hands on Experience with CFD tools as Solid works flow simulation and recent sustainable alternatives. Should be able to analyze CFD results and use it for the Systems Design of the product.
• Handled 5 or more complex projects, end to end- product development experience.
• Experience with agency and certification requirements (component and system level).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong Systems Engineering capability related to Fluid flow systems used in recirculating water baths/Chillers or similar products
• Proficient in design and development of drive components as pumps, motors, valves, and selection specific to the application
• Expertise in framing technical requirements for drive components. Ability to clearly detail requirements for all subsystems
• Hands on working with fluids and plumbing design. Excellent understanding of fluid chemistry, compositions, and compatibility.
• Detailed Experience working with wetted materials and selection criteria
• Expertise on below key areas (not limited to) in Fluid mechanics
• Active matter and mobility
• Interfaces, Fluidics
• Theoretical fluid mechanics
• Laminar and Turbulent Flows, heat transfer and control
• Flow diagnostics
• Thorough Reliability Practitioner, aware of and involved in DFA, DFM, DFR methodologies.
• Ability to analyze CFD results and suggest design modifications
• Travel at customer location for Inputs, RCAs and trouble shooting
• Critical Thinking, ability to comprehend the situation/ Problem,
• Firm understanding & hands on experience on working through the complete project life cycle management (PLM)
• Coordinate effectively with the Program managers and test engineers performing testing & technical execution
• Work independently with cross functional teams to understand customer requirement, drive system / subsystem design reviews and provide approvals
• Experience in recirculating water baths/Chillers will be an added advantage
