Anthology is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Software QA to be responsible for designing, documenting, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases to improve the quality of the CampusNexus product family specifically in the areas of Financial Aid in compliance with U.S. Department of Education federal financial aid programs.
Maintaining a high level of quality and compliance with the Department of Education Regulations is critical to the success of our products. This job is vital to helping ensure we automate testing and ensure quality remains at a high level with every change we make within the code.
You will work with a tenured team of software engineers who deliver our products using leading edge technology. You will learn more about the Scrum process and grow your knowledge of Financial Aid and will also learn about test automation techniques that ensure we are able to deliver software updates faster and more frequently because we have less reliance on manual testing.
Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing test cases to verify functionality, data integrity, security, and overall usability of the Financial Aid solutions
  • Understanding the functionality, requirements, and application workflows
  • Defining test case strategy and test plan
  • Designing and developing test cases to verify functionality, data integrity, security, and overall usability of the solution
  • Identifying/preparing regression test cases and maintaining regression repository
  • Ensuring quality product releases with testing covering all use case scenarios
  • Troubleshooting and working towards resolution of reported issues
  • Guiding and mentoring team members on testing tools and methodologies
  • Preparing test data, reviewing, and modifying test case
  • Developing, analyzing tests using Visual Studio Test Professional
  • Participating in daily scrum, reporting, and onshore/offshore coordination

The Candidate: Required skills/qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline; or, equivalent demonstrable experience
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in Test Automation
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for all work item management and activities prioritization
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Test Manager
  • Exposure to multiple software development lifecycles
  • Knowledge of Agile and SCRUM
  • Knowledge of API Test Automation (preferably using Postman)
  • Knowledge of UI Test Automation (preferably using Robot Framework)
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, experience reading and writing queries
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Takes accountability and self-motivated
  • Versatile and adaptable
  • Mindset for innovation and problem-solving

Preferred skills/qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience working as part of a geographically distributed team
  • Proven aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Strong grasp of testing principles like independent validation, coverage, and product specific testability problems
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations as they relate to financial aid
  • Familiarity and ability to navigate the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) website
  • Knowledge of CampusNexus Financial Aid Automation product
