Job Description

Join our Web Components team in the Platform Business unit as a Senior Software R&D Engineer. The team is responsible for the common technology stack and architecture for Ansys web-based applications. The team has a key role in the development of niche web components and their maintenance. It is a cornerstone of many upcoming Ansys Web-UI based products and solutions. As part of this team, you will also help shape a modern cloud aware application experience that are extensible with CI/CD.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Work in an Agile environment to develop the next-generation Web platform to ensure rich and delightful user experiences.
Propose and implement novel solutions, think "outside the box" and let your ideas be known.
Own the implementation of complex UI components to be used in other Ansys projects.
Perform complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of the UI components.
Write testable, readable, scalable, clean, and efficient code and participate in code reviews.
Participate in Scrum meetings. Interact constructively with colleagues, providing constructive feedback and insight to support team goals.
Collaborate with the product owners and teams to ensure components live up to our standards when it comes to aesthetics, flexibility, usability, API design, documentation, and accessibility.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer science, Engineering, or related field from reputed universities.
A minimum of 5 years of working experience developing commercial software.
Experience in Front-end programming stack such as React, Angular, Vue, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Experience developing UI/Frontends that communicate via REST, gRPC, WebSocket or Streaming APIs.
Good understanding of Web architecture and Distributed systems.
Experience in developing scalable services using Object-oriented languages such as Python, Java etc.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Masters Degree in Computer science, Software engineering, or related field.
Familiarity with Enterprise software development best-practices, Git, Windows/Linux OS, and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with Micro Frontends and Automated testing of web applications
Familiarity with Cloud/distributed computing technologies like micro-service architectures and containerized application management (Docker, Kubernetes)
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
