Our mission is to be the World Leader for Vision Systems within the automotive industry by developing innovative cameras
systems and providing situational awareness solutions using cutting edge technology.
The Software Project Lead is responsible for the planning, execution and follow-up of a SW project. The Project Lead will
comply with SW department processes and follow the priorities and schedules defined by project's R&D PM.

Responsibilities

Key Deliverables:
Strong Communicator
To be an effective Sr SW PL, concise communications is key within the SW team itself and also reporting up to the R&D
PTM and across the other Function Owners delivering within the project
Contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, attention to performance
metrics, and continuous process improvement
Good Planning
Updated project planning documents including resource forecasting
In charge of the robust project execution in line with the project's targets
Ensures SW development processes are followed
Skilled and experience in applying Valeo Smart Methodology to multiple projects
Plan to deliver the best product with most efficient use of resources and technologies
Reports progress and resources to SW Dept and project weekly
Contributing to process development as required
Customer Facing
Represent the SW team at the customer level so will need to have customer experience previously
Overall responsibility of the successful management of the SW project and reporting up into the R&D PTM
Supports R&D PM for customer interface in SW issues
Provide project leadership, anticipate bottlenecks, mitigate project risks, quantify the impact of making tradeoffs, and
balance business needs against technical constraints
Detailed scheduling and budgeting
Contribute to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipments, investments
Establish detail break down of the activities to meet the milestones and a have a good understanding of the required
resources needed to deliver project tasks
Deliver SW projects on time, within scope and on budget
Possess a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and how automation can be used to improve
productivity
Management of the contributors
Daily management of SW project
Assign tasks and work packages to SW team members
Aligns external deliveries to manageable integration tasks

Professional Experience

How many years of professional experience in a specific professional area are required for the position?
? Min 5 years experience preferably in automotive embedded software
? Min 7 years of relevant SW project management, methodologies and software experience / Min 2+ years as Sw PL in
Valeo
? Strong leadership skills / potential
? Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, enforcement assets and focus on results
? Fluent knowledge of English
? Ability to manage projects across multiple timezones / cross-cultural cooperation
? Automotive SPICE experience is an advantage

Qualifications

Education/Training
What education and education level are necessary for the position?
? Minimum Degree in engineering preferably in the fields of electronics / computer science
? Master of Science in Computer sciences or Software Engineering or equivalent domain preferable
