About the role

DNV is looking for Senior Software Developers to work for Maritime Digital Development at our office in Pune, India We are looking for highly motivated senior software developers for our development centre in Pune. You will report to the Head of Digital Development at Pune and working closely with other development centres in H\xc3\xb8vik Norway, Gdynia Poland and Shanghai, China. You will be a part of the global Maritime development team tasked with delivering state-of-the-art solutions and helping customers reach their goals. Our technology platform is a web-centric set of microservices that leverages the latest Microsoft technology stack and open-source solutions, both on-premises and in the Azure cloud. The platform is based on innovative use of web components for composition and machine learning/AI for data analysis and human assistance tools. The Maritime industry needs to reduce the CO2 emissions from international shipping. DNV is a key player to help the industry reach this goal. We aim to continue our leading role as a classification society by leading the digital transition of assurance in the maritime market and take new third-party roles towards a wider part of the value chain. We strongly believe that our digitalization initiatives are important tools to help achieve this. Class Developments are responsible for maritime digital platform in DNV and are 100 people strong. Several development teams handle more than 250 business critical applications, used by thousands of people internally and externally, 24/7, all over the world. Your day to day will include.
  • Collaborate with the team across sites on architecting solutions, solving real problems, and seeing them through to completion.
  • Design and develop applications where data is a core part of the product.
  • Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power the applications.
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Optimization of applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology.
  • Expose, share and discuss technology with a large network of like-minded colleagues.

About you

As a Senior Software Developer, you can work both front-end, back-end, and in databases of applications. Technical architecture may also become part of your tasks. To qualify, we need you to have:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree from an accredited university
  • 8-13 years of experience with and can build robust, scalable and flexible solutions using Microsoft technology stack, e.g. ASP.NET, .NET, WebAPI, GraphQL, C#, Typescript, React, WebComponents, NServiceBus
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture styles/APIs and system design
  • Experience in the full lifecycle of the application
  • Experience with agile development practices
  • Fluent in English to get the message across loud and clear.
