The Role : Senior Software Developer
The Team : We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled Software Developer. We strive to deliver solutions that are division-specific, data-rich, and hyper-targeted for evolving business needs. You will be expected to participate in the design review process, write high-quality code, and work with dedicated team members.
The Impact : Commercial and Marketing Technology Team is seeking a Software Developer to create software design, development, and maintenance for Dotcom project. This person would be part of a development team that manages and supports S&P Global website. This role expects a candidate to create web pages from the design provided in CMS. We have teams made up of people that learn how to work effectively together while working with the larger group of developers on our platform.

Responsibilities :
Participate in multiple software development processes including Coding, Testing, De-bugging & Documentation.
Achieve an understanding of customer environments and their use of the products.
Work on new initiatives and support existing content applications.
Perform Application & System Performance tuning and troubleshoot performance issues.
Develop web-based applications and build rich front-end user interfaces.
Build applications with object-oriented concepts and apply design patterns.
Perform unit testing of application code and fix errors.
Consuming APIs and working with JSON data.
Sending form data to third party ex Marketo or Pardot etc.
Strong knowledge of good software development practices.
Solid interpersonal skills - able to establish strong working relationships.
Excellent team player and team builder with strong interpersonal skills
Understand fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
What we're looking for :Basic Qualifications :
6+ years' experience in application development, with deep understanding of Design Patterns & Object-oriented programming.
Strong .NET (C#) and SQL skills
Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like SAFe, Test-driven development
Proficiency in the development environment, including IDE, web & application server, GIT, Continuous Integration, unit-testing tool, and defect management tools.
Experience of working on different Web Technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, etc.
Experience with React JS or Angular JS is a plus.
Knowledge of Content management system (CMS) is a plus.
Expertise in building event driven scalable & resilient systems.
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success while choosing the proper methodologies and policies to support broad business goals
Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Developing Code using Visual Studio.
Experience of working in .Net (C#)
Experience working on front end technologies like Angular JS or React JS etc.
Experience of Pattern Labs is a plus.
Experience of working in a CMS is a plus, preferably Crownpeak.
