Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Our stakeholders want more visibility, better performance, root cause analysis and auto-remediation of failures. We help Oracle build the best-in-class networking and observability solutions to integrate Exadata Cloud Services with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), provide monitoring, what-if analysis, root cause analysis, for Oracle's Exadata Cloud Services.
We are looking for a Sr. Member of Technical Staff who will work with internal customers to understand their use cases and requirements and implement features to automatically detect and remediate incidents. You should be comfortable at building complex distributed systems involving complex workflows, building data pipelines, and analytics for real time processing. You should also have strong networking background. Prior experience in coding is required. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in software development

• 2+ years of experience in architecting/designing large scale services / applications

• Experience developing high traffic/throughput, distributed, scalable, multi-node systems

• Proficiency with Java/Python/C++ and Object Oriented programming

• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• Knowledge of cloud computing

• Experience developing service oriented systems, REST, python

• Cloud and Data Center networking technologies

• Exposure to Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Storm, Elasticsearch or other
