: Senior Service Reliability Engineer (Performance) Do you want to work in Service Reliability team to Modernize IT Operations?

The Team

You will be joining Service Reliability (SR) team responsible for introducing a paradigm shift from a traditional Operations setup to a modern organization embedding Site Reliability Engineering disciplines to ensure that Operational challenges are met with engineering methods and mind set. Our goal is to further improve customer availability by adopting modern stack/technologies for fast recovery. You will collaborate closely with the Platform and Software IT engineers in infrastructure and application teams with plenty opportunities to upskill your technical knowledge.

You are a great fit if you enjoy solving complex issues in a production environment and have a trouble-shooter's mind set with previous experience in cracking down the most complicated (e.g. 'slow performance' or similar) issues and you simply loved the process of it.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for driving reliability of applications and infrastructure to avoid or, if not possible, quickly resolve service disruptions
  • Being an evangelist of operational excellence by educating others and defining strategic reliability improvement activities as well as acting as the point of escalation within the incident response process
  • Work with cross-platform teams to resolve or mediate user related performance concerns via all channels, including chat and ITSM
  • Hands-on troubleshooting across different systems to solve complex infrastructure performance issues
  • Develop or tune system-specific alerting logic to improve signal-to-noise ratio
  • Optimize modern observability and monitoring tools to alert on symptoms, not causes
  • Build tools or develop reliable automations to prevent manual work, repeatable actions and issue re-occurrence
  • Document and reuse internal wiki to ensure findings and lessons are shared
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to optimize systems and workflows
  • Implement best practices around post-mortems involving multiple teams and components
  • In addition, you'll get to work on ensuring the following: availability, latency, performance, observability, alerting, auto-healing and monitoring
Skills and competencies

Required Qualifications
  • Cross-culture collaborative approach, along with excellent English communication skills
  • Strong interest in Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) topics like availability (SLOs), latency, performance, resilience, observability.
  • 6+ years of hands-on technical experience in Windows performance tuning
  • 4+ years of experience with application performance monitoring tools, log analysis and alerting systems (e.g. Data dog/Splunk/Sensu/etc.)
  • Experience in Open telemetry and synthetic monitor suits
  • Hands-on experience with an application stack, understanding of typical configurations of its monitoring metric and SLA
  • Experience owning platform, enhancing logs, building alerts, evaluating log errors etc.
  • Experience in creating dashboards with difference metrics and ability to "poke holes" in existing dashboards and logs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with most or at least one of the areas:
  • Administration of at least one of Linux/Unix or Windows OS systems
  • Any virtualisation or container-based management and orchestration technologies
  • Any of database engines in enterprise environment
  • Work experience with any major cloud provider
  • Hands-on experience with any scripting/programming languages
