What are we looking for?

We\'re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with a deep understanding of automation testing principles, including the ability to develop and maintain effective automation frameworks. Excellent leadership skills are crucial, as you\'ll be mentoring and guiding your team. A strong background in manual testing methodologies and tools is a plus, ensuring a comprehensive approach to quality assurance.

What you\'ll do?

• Review requirements, quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Create/enhance automation framework.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
• Analyse test reports (manual & automation), perform root cause analysis & take corrective actions.
• Manage customer interaction / coordination & handle escalations.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities, open defect counts etc.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies to maintain/update testing environments.
• Proactively works with other team members as needed to resolve issues and meet project goals.
• Follow defined engineering processes, identify and rectify flaws in the processes.
• Perform peer test reviews to identify improvements in test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• 4+ years of experience as a web application test engineer with a BE/B.Tech from a reputable engineering college.
• Hands-on experience & proficiency in automation testing frameworks like Pytest, Selenium.
• Proficiency in API testing (both manual and automated).
• Proficiency in any one of the languages like Python.
• Good knowledge of OOPs concepts.
• Working knowledge of databases.
• Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to non-functional testing like Performance, Security, Compliance etc.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans & test cases.
• Experience in working with Agile/Scrum development process.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) & customer interaction.
• Familiarity with relevant quality assurance industry standard best practices and methodologies.
• Exposure to Docker & Kubernetes is a plus.
