Job Description


Leads sophisticated and large-scale, moderate to high-risk People Technology projects across the project lifecycle to ensure delivery that is timely, within budget and within scope.Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Handle detailed plans across the critical path to deliverance of project objectives, engaging with partners and assessing requirements
  • Partners with project sponsors/team members (including customers) to define project objectives and success criteria and develops status reports to update senior project sponsors on progress, and gains commitments to ensure corrective actions take place if required
  • Anticipate issues and delays, reliably assessing and resolving high priority project risks
  • Define and report on project progress and achievements of project regularly updating key and senior collaborators on project status
  • Validate financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures
  • Build, lead, and mentor team throughout project lifecycles
  • Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects
  • Leads multiple workstreams and large project teams throughout the project lifecycle delivering results that meet the success parameters stated in the case
  • All project artefacts maintained throughout the project lifecycle (plans, resourcing profiles, cost plans, benefits schedules, RAID items, Change Requests and status reports) are up to date, accurate and follow group quality standards.
  • Work with the Portfolio PMO and Business to provide an accurate resource demand view for the project
  • Ensures all projects follow LSEG Group Standards for project methodology, governance and risk management.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Significant experience in project or programme management
  • Strong planning, interpersonal, and mentor skills and the solid ability to work efficiently with all interpersonal levels
  • Excellent at leading and influencing a wide network of collaborators including senior management, who can influence and build relationships
  • Willing and able to challenge customers and collaborators to better understand their needs
  • Knowledge of financial, risk, and project management methodologies & tools
  • Experience working in an agile organisation
  • Scrum master experience
  • A demonstrated ability as a Project Manager, with a solid track record of efficiently delivering sophisticated projects, preferably within a technology-focused and growth driven environment.
  • Excellent documentation skills; ability to build high quality steering committee materials
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
Preferred
  • Global experience \xe2\x80\x93 working effectively with teams in multiple locations simultaneously
  • Experience and knowledge of large scale, global, change programmes and portfolio management
  • Experience in large investment banking or financial services organisations
  • Background in working across a number of different sectors both business and IT related projects/programmes
  • Knowledge of technology estates and technologies desirable
