About The Role:


In cooperation with the division, to oversee, manage, mentor and develop a team of Project managers through providing local management including HR admin, reporting, Guidance, direction, performance management and leadership to the team. To support management of the largest and most complex projects/accounts and keep The Divisional Management team informed about account progress/issues at all times. Overall responsibility for revenue, growth, quality, service levels, schedule, client Satisfaction and profitability

Responsibilities:


  • Reporting: Monitoring OT, escalating to Division where OT is excessive, supporting Division with root cause investigations (e.g. workload imbalance, ineffective working, Practices etc.)
  • Process: Ensuring all internal procedures are adhered to by Project Managers. Ensuring all project documentation is up-to-date and that all SDL and ISO procedures are followed.
  • Training: Provision of local or site specific training requirements new team members.
  • Pastoral: Mentoring and support during 121s if required/desired. Local point of contact to discuss issues.
  • Recruitment: Local support to senior management in the interview and hiring process as required.
  • Management: Workload and knowledge management within the team (sharing and
  • Retention).
  • Operational: Bi-weekly calls/meetings: Division Operations Manager/NWO Dept
  • Manager& Team Leader.
  • Reporting: To generate various reports to monitor performance and utilization of team


  • Members and come up with corrective action plans/solutions.
  • Process: Ensuring that projects are quoted and planned with the correct methodology applied, and that resource scheduling and allocation is timely and effective. Ensuring All project documentation is up-to- date and that all SDL and ISO procedures are followed. Maintenance of all internal project documentation and full ownership for
  • Archiving at completion.
  • Training: Providing training or access to training to ensure team members have the Knowledge and skills required to perform their roles.
  • Pastoral: Identification and correction of project and personnel issues, escalating and Mediating when necessary to Program Manager.
  • Recruitment: Support and assistance to senior management in the interview and hiring process.
  • Management: Fully supporting and developing all Project Managers, ensuring they Have all necessary skills and resources to ensure successful project delivery. Performing or assisting the Program Manager in completion of appraisal tasks, objective setting and monitoring of team members including Appraisal.
  • Escalation: Helping the team members troubleshoot daily operational issues and Overcome challenges.
  • Financial: Monitoring and checking project budgets and raising concerns at an early Level with Project Managers, and where necessary alerting Program Manager.
  • Operational: Attend operational meetings with the Divisions to discuss operational Issues/concerns and work on appropriate corrective action to resolve.
  • Overall: Responsibility for and full ownership of all projects undertaken within team,Including ensuring acceptable levels of profitability, timely delivery of components and client satisfaction. Ensuring that the team focuses equally on the three main areas of project management: Clients, People & Process.
  • Process: Working with Project Managers to ensure effective communication on projects both externally with the client, and internally with team members located within the division and in supporting SDL offices.
  • Recruitment: Active participation in recruitment, interviews and selection of new team members.
  • Development: Developing the skills and competencies within the team to meet business goals through training, mentoring and development of staff including 1-2-1s, performance management through Appraisal.
  • Team Building: Organize team building and motivational activities.
  • Managing Upwards: Deputy Responsibilities for Program Manager.
  • Financial: In cooperation with division, full financial management of assigned accounts including revenue forecasting each month, delivery of budget revenue, project budget management each week, delivery of account profitability against agreed targets, monthly forecasting of revenue and for annual budget preparation and developing and implementing revenue/profitability improvement plans.
  • Clients: Responsibility for client retention and development.
  • Account Growth: Working with divisional counterparts for account plan maintenance including structured action plans to deliver account growth and profitability.

Requirements:


  • Educated to Diploma Level in either Computer Science or a business related area
  • Good written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Good Microsoft Office and Internet knowledge
  • Ambitious and with a desire to learn and progress
  • Analytical and structured problem solving abilities
  • Flexible to work in Night Shifts
