For more information, visit KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF POSITION: 1) Reporting i) Prepare the complete suite of monthly Project Reporting including but not limited to Project Summary Repo rts , Financial Summary Reports, and take action as required ii) Compile weekly dashboards in preparation for review by the Project Accountant Lead. iii) Analyse and review project costs, revenue, work in progress (WIP) and debtors on a monthly basis. iv) Assist in the provision of overall commercial and compliance support to Project Managers. v) Prepare and process revenue and cost adjustments to projects as required to comply with Worley revenue recognition policies. vi) Assist with ensuring commercialisation of project from Commercial Managers is linked to the financial position vii) Prepare and process project accruals and other general ledger journal entries. viii) Prepare reconciliations of project module and general ledger accounts (Hyperion) ix) Prepare and distribute adhoc reports for project managers and other internal customers 2) Worley Project Review (WPR) Support i) Review and comment on the PCS (Project Control Statement) analytics and FCS (Financial Control Statement) \'actual\' financial data to ensure alignment of reporting with Oracle. ii) Represent Finance in the WPR monthly meetings Query project outlook, ensure Worley financial pol icies are being followed, Quantify/qualify financial risk. iii) Assist with driving improvements in financial position and cash flows (particularly DSO an d ag ed W IP wi th i n operations). 3) Staff & internal customer relationship i) Maintain good relationships and liaise with Project Manager(s), Accoun ts Receivable, Accounts Payabl e an d other stakeholders to ensure information is being effectively exchanged and processed. ii) Implement team development plans, improve productivity and provide constructive feedback where necessary. iii) Ensure appropriate accountability and performance standards are met. iv) Exercise supervisory ability by setting priorities, monitoring workflow, procedures and work practices, and allocating resources. v) Assist in ensuring team is actively engaged with business / project stakeholders. 4) Continuous Improvement i) Work closely with the Project Accountant Manager (WOPS) to develop, establish and implement improvements to ensure achievement of all financial goals and objectives. ii) Ensure the Project Accountant team is actively educating the Finance team on key projects (including nature, schedule, financial and non-financial position, risks) ESSENTIAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Job Specific: . Sound project accounting knowledge, including Project Reporting, Accruals, Revenue Recognition, Work-in-progress, Billing and understanding the key functional impacts. . System knowledge of GBS (Oracle), detailed Excel and key functional impacts. . Ability to interpret and apply relevant accounting standards, corporate directives and contractual commercial terms. . Ability to identify the key revenue and cost drivers of the business to understand and evaluate the nature and financial effects of the business activities. . Proficient use of the most common Microsoft applications including intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel/PowerBI to download and analyse data (pivot tables etc) . Excellent problem solving and analysis skills with a high degree of analytical rigor. . Superior account reconciliation skills. . Strong team focus and good organisational skills . Previous experience in project accounting in the same or similar industry . Use of the accounting packages such as Oracle, Hyperion, SAP or JD Edwards or similar system advantageous. In particular, a high-level of understanding of the features of the Project module within a fully integrated accounting system. Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Required: . A recognised degree or equivalent qualification with an emphasis in quantitative discipline such as finance, economics, accounting or commerce major. Preferred: . CPA or CA qualification preferred.
