Voxelmaps is building the world's most accurate 4D volumetric model of the earth, combining high-resolution scans using the latest LiDAR and HD imaging sensors, fused with a wide variety of other rich content. The result is a new form of mapping which provides superior levels of accuracy, information, and insight. Voxelmaps has developed a patented technology that divides the planet into a dense matrix of multi-resolution voxels (3D pixel), with each voxel having a permanent location and address. The automated feature extraction is performed on this model using Voxelmaps' developed AI software tools.
Voxelmaps is looking for a Senior-Level Project Accountant Assistant. Reporting directly to the COO and Lead Project Accountant, they will be expected to hit the ground running and integrate within the team. This role is to assist this high growth start-up technology company with offices in the US, UK and Europe.
Responsibilities

• Assisting Lead Project Accountant with daily operations, reconciliations and reporting
• Reconciling and populating data from the various platforms for the reporting purposes
• Operating project accounting processes including capturing and validation of data relating to time, costs, billing and forecasting
• Establishing and maintaining good relationships with project delivery teams and the wider finance function
• Helping with development of financial plans for various projects and monitor performance against these plans
• Supporting delivery of accurate project financial data in a timely manner to enable effective decision making
• Recording all relevant income and expenditure for each project
• Helping to define appropriate end-to-end finance processes to improve the control environment and deliver operational efficiencies
• Understand business challenges/needs etc. and enabling change in a hands-on manner by identifying opportunities for efficiencies and improvements
• Working collaboratively with both finance and non-finance teams across international offices
• Working with the management team to develop business intelligence to help drive efficiencies in projects
• Supporting other finance activities and projects as required to assist business needs

Skills

• Previous experience in the similar role is advantage
• Accounting qualification whether that would be through experience, or a recognized qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) is preferable
• A good level of financial reporting experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret significant amounts of financial data
• Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well as part of a geographically dispersed team as well as on their own
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (creating functions, pivot tables, Vlookups and charts)
• Knowledge of Intuit Quickbooks
