DESCRIPTION Amazon seeks a Senior Program Manager for its Finance Operations M&A Subsidiary Risk and Compliance team to play a critical role in building a program focused on promoting Amazon\'s acquired subsidiaries\' controllership and operational health. Key job responsibilities The senior program manager will support existing M&A integration managers by providing project management to drive timelines, completion, and process improve the certification of subsidiary controls to ensure controllership policies and procedures are executed. This role will dive into the subsidiary data collected to understand the issues, report the status, prepare reports for executive briefs, and track items to completion. The senior program manager will onboard new subsidiaries, contribute to the development of risk management solutions, partner with technical teams on future integration and automation initiatives that reduce manual controllership mechanisms. This role will work with cross-functional teams and Amazon\'s subsidiaries. The ideal candidate has project management skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to earn trust in order to influence others, experience gathering and interpreting data, and the ability collaborate across functions. Must have flexibility to work with global stakeholders in multiple time zones. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Hyderabad, TS, IND BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience - 5+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience - 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor\'s degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience - Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel - Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
