About Expertia

Expertia AI is a deep tech startup in the HR tech space. We are developing the current state of the art systems to lead into the next decade of products in the HR-tech space. Expertia AI is incubated at and funded by Entrepreneur First Bangalore with Kanishk Shukla and Akshay Gugnani as its co-founders. Kanishk was earlier the co-founder of Koovs.com and Akshay has worked as an AI researcher at the Computer Science AI lab at MIT and IBM Research.

About the role

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic team members to join our journey as we scale Expertia AI globally. Being part of a fast-growing team of top-notch engineers and AI research scientists, you will experience all the excitement and dynamism of a startup.

The ideal candidate is an analytical team player who will be responsible for leading a team of high performing individuals who own the entire product lifecycle from strategy to evaluation. You will also work cross-functionally to complete product roadmaps and discover new opportunities. You will have a key role in our product lifecycle for our new and existing products. We are looking for a senior design professional to lead the design vertical and drive the next frontier of innovation in the domain of talent acquisition & management.

• Leading a team of UX/UI designers towards building better user experience
• Create business models and analyze competitive landscape
• Develop and monitor data-driven analytics
• Finding new areas of product growth with user research
• Creating mockups and wireframes for the AI SaaS product
• Building and maintaining the design system
• Improve the design and user experience of existing products, while identifying the gaps in current product offering
• Work closely with the product team and engineer team to build product designs.
• Conceptualising, Ideating and building designs, UI and UX for current and future products.
• Perform user research within the target audience to implement and test the product designs.
• Work along with the product team in making enhancements to the UI/UX.
• Ideate and conceptualise with the marketing team in building brand recognition.
• Act as a mentor to other designers and graphic designers in the organization.
• Mentor employees to help them achieve individual & team objectives

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product designing in the position of a Product Designer, UI/UX Designer in a B2B SaaS company for AI products.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with experience in Product Management, Engineering, or Consulting
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, etc. is appreciated.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Proven experience in creatively solving hard problems, driving complex design issues across multidisciplinary groups such as engineering, product management, research and marketing; and shipping relevant experiences within deadlines.
• User-centric approach to design and an understanding of how to apply research insights into design and development of the product experience.
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
• Detail orientation, execution excellence and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Extraordinary energy, highly motivated and ability to work in a high octane startup environment
