Job Description

Microsoft has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to be part of Engineering Services Team based out of Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:

  • "Customer Obsessed" - Have a mindset that is focused first on the customer and how to use technology to make their experience safe, reliable, performant, scalable, etc.
  • Provide feedback and drive improvements with current tools and processes, driving initiatives to the appropriate group, for proactive design changes and implementation or business risk assessment for incident causal factors.
  • Identify, explore, and then ultimately drive cross team efforts to proactively resolve issues that could cause impact to our customers.
  • Work with the leadership team to understand the scope and requirements, drive the engineering team and deliver results.
  • Drive clarity on required work to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborates with partner teams across Microsoft to build coherent experiences for customers, developers and end users
  • Manage and prioritize key deliverables, dependencies, and milestones by collaborating with engineering, go-to-market teams, and third parties.
  • Establish and analyze product metrics, integrate research, usability studies, and market analysis into product requirements to improve the overall user experience.
  • Distill noise, clear bottlenecks, and understand inter-dependencies that define priorities and schedules.
  • Monitor and measure success metrics after launch and incorporate feedback into the product development process.
  • Contribute to the vision and roadmap of our overall products and services.

**Qualifications**

**Basic Qualifications**
  • 8+ years of experience managing technology projects
  • 3+ Experience in managing scope, schedule, risk and organization.
  • Ability to drive initiatives by breaking down abstract requirements and making them actionable tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, related math/engineering field, or 4+ years of equivalent industry software engineering experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
  • Previous experience in product management, and software delivery in a commercial environment.
  • Prior experience with or expertise in cloud related technology.
  • Prior Microsoft program management experience. Familiarity with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) concepts.
  • Knowledge of ADO
  • Experience driving the delivery of consumer-grade user experience features.
  • Experience leading complex projects and gaining consensus across companies or large organizations.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and/or design and research reams to define and build new user experiences or technical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
An ideal candidate should have:
  • Ability to breakdown a project, set the scope, schedule, manage risks and communicate blockers.
  • Passion for understanding and improving large, complex systems, and improving overall developer productivity
  • Excellent communications skills within and across teams
  • Passion for or experience building highly scalable, highly available software and services
