Functional Description:
Global Merchant Services is dedicated to bringing buyers and sellers together and redefining how American Express is encouraged. GMS Insights & Analytics aims to provide best in class analytics to support key GMS priorities, support critical initiatives, optimize investments, accelerate merchant activation enhancing the value Amex acceptance brings to merchants and Card Members at scale. Merchant Marketing Analytics team provides data driven insights that inform Merchant marketing strategy through strategic data deep dives, targeting and measurement for all global markets.

Responsibilities:
This Manager will report to Director, Merchant Marketing Analytics and will lead end to end execution of the project engagement from problem definition, data analysis/interpretation to develop the storyline with the insights/recommendations.

• 
  Develop new merchant marketing solutions to drive incremental business value.
• 
  Optimize merchant marketing journeys for personalized and effective targeting.
• 
  Early diagnostics for low touch and high touch Small Merchants/OptBlue campaigns
• 
  Provide strategic insights to stakeholders on prioritized deep dives
• 
  Build and manage an impactful and highly engaged team of 3-4 analysts

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  4-7 years of relevant experience in analytics domain
• 
  Self-starter, ability to drive insights from data, provide action steps and drive results in a fast-paced environment
• 
  Strong project management and analytical skills with a strategic mindset
• 
  Strong collaborator with an ability to build relationships and challenge the status quo
• 
  Excellent business writing and presentation with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of managements and influence strategy
• 
  Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
• 
  Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to drive results.
• 
  Technical Skills: Familiarity with SAS/ SQL, R, Python, Hive, PySpark and Tableau.
• 
  Bachelor\'s in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/ Engineering with relevant experience
• 
  Preferred: Post Graduation in Statistics/Mathematics/ Economics/Engineering/Management
