Department Description

The global distribution team at Fidelity International acts as a trusted advisor, expert manager and thought-leading investment partner to institutions globally. Our clients include pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, charities, banks and other institutional investors. We offer a full range of institutional investment strategies and solutions, including our own products and those of other parts of the Fidelity business - Fidelity Institutional Asset Management (FIAM) and Geode.

About your role
As part of the new, and on-going, business process Fidelity is asked to complete detailed Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs). Clients request this information in order to evaluate our company, products and services, and ultimately make major investment decisions worth hundreds of millions of dollars. It is vital that Fidelity provides these groups with up-to-date, high quality content that continues to generate interest in Fidelity.

It is crucial that Fidelity provides accurate and up-to-date information that communicates our proposition clearly. This requires a strong understanding of Asset Management, data manipulation skills, working with many key stakeholders and driving with the development of key IT systems within Fidelity.

The role will seek major enhancements to data gathering for RFP and KMT teams. It\xe2\x80\x99s vital that the you have experience of working with IT, Finance and front office teams to develop the necessary tools to become more efficient at data provision.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with all global RFP and CDB contributor teams to drive change and process and structural improvements
• Ensure the team is fully engaged and supported, and aligned to the Institutional business\xe2\x80\x99s goals
• All human resource aspects of teams (goal setting, performance and development, mentoring, training and hiring)
• Liaise with SMEs to educate on teams\xe2\x80\x99 roles, promote team initiatives, escalate and address issues raised

Managing the RFP Team:

A team of RFP writers based in India focused on producing high quality tailored responses to clients\xe2\x80\x99 and consultants\xe2\x80\x99 RFP and Due Diligence Questionnaire requests:

• Ensure the team produces high quality sales documents, such that extensive revision by sales or product teams is not required and that demonstrate a competitive advantage in the market.
• Capacity management - manage team work allocation to ensure deadlines are met
• Reviewing/editing final drafts of team\xe2\x80\x99s proposals/documents before they are sent to sales teams for final review to ensure we have the highest quality responses
• Writing of proposals where volumes/capacity constraints necessitate
• Represent the RFP team in meetings with other SMEs/ team heads
• Pre-empt/address issues internally/with SMEs as they relate to the efficiency of the RFP process to enable team to concentrate directly on their work
• Report relevant Management Information to the business (Institutional plus product teams etc) on RFP activity

Skills and Experience

Relevant Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven RFP Team management experience
• Track record in investment management or investment marketing related roles
• Leadership skills to set business direction for the team and drive collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders
• Experience in writing high quality proposals for institutional clients and of consultant database management
• Applied knowledge of the investment industry and markets, as well as a developed understanding of investment products and portfolios and how fund management firms operate

• A dynamic individual who is willing to accept new challenges and changes, with a high level of responsibility, adaptability and flexibility
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic - well organised, reliable, capable and able to prioritise and handle multiple deadline-oriented projects
• Able to mix strategic thinking with practical \xe2\x80\x9chands-on\xe2\x80\x9d application
• Excellent communication skills for effective communication with Investment and sales teams, and in order to work with people at all levels within the Company
• Attention to detail and a high level of quantitative and qualitative accuracy
• A team player who can also direct and support others
• Persistent and personable with strong cultural sensitivities when dealing with overseas Fidelity offices
