Title : Sr. Manager

Department : Product Development from General Insurance Industry

Location - Mumbai- Vikroli(WFO)

Job Scope / Position Summary

The position is expected to work on multiple product lines namely Fire, Engineering, Miscellaneous etc. for designing new products, modification of existing products and adherence to product related regulatory notifications. The position is expected to manage end to end product cycle from conceptualization to launch of the product and would also involve cross functional liasion.

Main Responsibility Key Result Area

1 Product Filing Readiness

a. Preparing filing documentation

b. Regulatory compliance in product filing

c. Maintaining/storing documents with version controls

Filing of products

2 Product Calendar Adherence

a. Maintaining product calendar

b. Ensuring milestone wise adherence to product calendar

c. Reporting plan vs actual report for product calendar

Adherence to Product Calendar

3 Cross Functional Liaison

a. Ensuring cross functional liaison for product filing, query management, system readiness & launches as per Product Development SOP

b. The functions with whom co-ordination would be required are Underwriting, Actuarial, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Claims, Marketing, Sales etc

Adherence to Product SOP

4 MIS, Reports & Audit

a. Preparation of reports required for Management, GARO & Regulatory Reporting

b. Support audit related requirements for Product Development function

c. Automate reports for post launch tracking of New Product Performance

4 Market Scan & Competition tracking

a. Conduct market scan for building competition comparison

b. Tracking of New product launches in the industry

c. Scanning overseas markets

Qualification and Experience Requirement

Education :

Preferably MBA/ Post Graduate in Insurance

Experience : Minimum 7 years experience in General Insurance preferably from Product Development and/or Underwriting functions. Exposure to customer facing roles would be a plus for this position in addition to Product Development / Underwriting experience
