Job Description

Will be responsible to ensure end-to-end operations for SEC reporting 10Q/10K/8K, Financial supplements, footnotes, disclosures, implementation of new Investment/ any other reporting guidelines, XBRL tagging, Rating Surveys, etc. Need to work very closely with very senior stakeholders and perform activities associated with the internal and external reporting. This will also involve high degree of on-going analytical support and ad hoc reporting. Ownership of processes, reports, procedures, managing team and BAU activities. Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of cross-function processes Should have good understanding of accounting and reporting concepts. Financial reporting and SEC reporting experience/knowledge preferred. Review of critical Financial statements/schedules, Notes to accounts, GAAP/STAT schedules/table/supplements, Rating Surveys, before submission to onshore team Liaison with multiple departments (Input providers) during the close to ensure timely completion of deliverables/Collaborate for special projects Support quarterly/annual audits by internal auditors, as well as independent external auditors Participate or lead special projects, initiatives, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requests Understand & anticipate clients\' business needs/concerns, etc. & proactively resolve the same Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhanced controls Ensure adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Leadership qualities and ensure development of staff. Act as a point of escalation for any operational issues Maintain day to day operations, administration and communication to Client and leadership Initiate meetings with various stakeholders to communicate the process deliveries and Issue resolution Knowledge of Financial Reporting, US GAAP/STAT reporting concepts including accounting principles/guidelines Understanding of US Insurance market, Insurance products/instruments Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) Knowledge of financial tools/ERP\'s such as Oracle, Essbase, PeopleSoft, Smartview, etc.
