General Summary:
Minimum Qualifications: Responsible for development, integration of various technology components into DSP deliverables, chip bringup, Stability and commercialization of Application and Compute Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for Qualcomm Mobile, Machine Learning, Automotive, IoT, and other products. The team develops and maintains the Integration and Build infrastructure, automation and stability Tools for the large size projects for the Qualcomm for DSP, CPU subsystems etc. The person should be self-motivated and need to drives the stability issues and co-ordinate the releases to meet the SW image quality as required by Product. Works closely with various technology teams, HW and Target and component owners from various engineering teams to ensure delivery of software, test, documentation, and tools to enable on-time launch of customer devices in the market.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• New chip/product bringup and commercialization
• Understanding of SW release life cycle
• SW branch management
• Version control understanding

o Familiarity with version control tools like P4 /CVS, Github etc

• Knowledge on continuous integration setup and jobs.
• Knowledge on bug tracking tools and techniques (Like JIRA , PRISM etc.)
• Understanding of Make files or SCONS build system
• Good Understanding of and compilation/Linking process with errors
• Expected to individually triage stability issues
• Possess good analytical / problem solving skills
• Possess good C, Python programming skills and awareness of operating system concepts is a basic prerequisite
• MS-DOS, Linux commands, batch, shell programming basics
• Have awareness of any debugger (such as gdb / Trace32 etc) usage / fundamentals of any processor architecture and peripherals
• Prior experience to debugging embedded systems and C++ programming skill would be an added advantage
• Working with TRACE32/JTAG
• Knowledge on embedded testing

o Experience in executing Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Functional Testing.

• Experience in Automation Testing and manual testing on several Applications like User Interface Testing, Multimedia applications is a plus.
• Experience in building and leading a Technical team is a plus
• Engineer needs to be self-motivated and look for new work opportunities to expand team
• Experience in Architecting new tools and/or system level features
• Need to mentor the team members technically
• Look for opportunities for innovation and work on it

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 12 - 16 years of experience in one or more areas of semiconductor product development (e.g., system design, architecture, HW design and validation, SW development).
• 6+ years of experience with programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems.
