Role Overview: Doing independent research, analyze, and present data as assigned Expected to work in close collaboration with the EXL team and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for UK/US markets Critically examine and deep dive into model and identify possible areas of testing Build automated models in MS Excel or any other suitable platform to test the output of actuarial models Prepare detailed documentation for the model developed and testing done. Assist in learning and development of new team members Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines Key Responsibilities: Complete understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statement Develop comprehensive understanding of the client operations, processes and business objectives and use this knowledge on assignments Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming that into business framework and providing actuarial solutions Respond to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly Support on any actuarial developments required from client side Experience in data extraction and data manipulation in Excel, R/Python/SAS, SQL and MS-Access Experience in data control and data automation In-depth data analysis like identifying major trends, univariate and multi-variate analysis Personal and commercial lines general insurance reserving for relevant insurance markets Knowledge of general insurance domain and P&C actuarial concepts is a must Excellent written and verbal communication skills Candidate Profile: Bachelor\'s/Master\'s degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 5-8 CT actuarial exams 5+ years\' experience, with good understanding of P&C pricing actuarial concepts Strong analytical skills with previous experience of applying actuarial/statistical methodologies to business problems Strong ability to identify and solve potential problems in their specialty and develop creative solutions Understanding of the product lines Knowledge of GI actuarial modelling package such as ResQ, Emblem, RADAR, Igloo is an added advantage. Strong IT skills, will need to be comfortable with basic programming in SAS and eager to develop this skill.
