Positions in this function produce innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from unstructured, diverse datasets typically measured in gigabytes or larger. Applies knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement. Uses a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive and prescriptive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data. Works with analytics and statistical software such as SQL, R, Python, Hadoop and others to perform analysis and interpret data. This function is not intended for employees performing the following work: less complex analysis on small data sets; rules-based algorithmic or descriptive analytics; development of big data infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:

Eligibility
To apply to an internal job, employees must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 12 months in the current role
• Not on Active CAP at the time of applying for the IJP
• Employees designated currently on G28 (Will move to next grade) & G29 (lateral movement) can apply for this position
• Employees must notify their Current Manager before applying for the IJP
• Last Common Review rating should be Meeting Expectations or Exceeding Expectations
• Employee should not have availed Onshore opportunity within last 6 months

Required Qualifications:

• Master's (Preferred) or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Physics, Biostatistics or related Quantitative disciplines and substantial experience in predictive analytics or equivalent
• 12+ years of industry Data Science experience, with expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling
• Have full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, production, and monitoring of Data Science products
• Experience leading end-to-end data science project implementation
• Experience with presenting project output to a wide range of audiences
• Significant prior success as a Data Scientist Manager, working on challenging problems at scale (Industry experience), and managing scientists and managers across multiple teams
• Advanced expertise with software such as Python, R, SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner or equivalent platforms
• Understanding of the value derived from getting results early and iterating
• Strong desire to solve tough problems with scientific rigor at scale
• Passion to answer Product/Engineering questions with data
• Proven track record of driving results from identified business opportunities
• Ability to guide a team to achieve important goals together
• Strong ability to coach Data Scientists, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and influence business decisions
• Ability to identify business needs and build business cases for investment
