The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

To ensure smooth, accurate, timely and error free processing of all Financial Markets Securities Operations related activities as per Department Operating Instructions, Roles and Responsibilities, Laid down processes and procedures.

Works largely independently but under the guidance of senior management and is responsible for delivery of key projects.

  • Involvement in Project Initiatives / Automation / process Improvement.

  • Good understanding of Banking and Financial Industry.
Processes

Position responsible for handling amid size team, dealing in any of the following areas
  • Input / Authorize settlement instructions / Pre-Matching / Repo / Triparty transaction exposure.
  • Investigation of Nostro open items.
  • Input / Authorize transaction in ISCD Global Markets systems like Clearstream / Euroclear and Bony.
  • Manage Reconciliation activities.
  • Co-ordination for Training for staff.
  • Manage Operational Risk activities.
  • Processing Custody invoices.
  • Preparing MIS data for Senior Management.
  • Assist in completion of Documentation for new market and process.
Risk Management
  • Takes responsibility for risk and compliance issues within area of responsibility.
  • Ensures due care and diligence is exercised on day to day operational matters relating to Money Laundering acquiring relevant knowledge and training; thus providing support to superiors and subordinates.
  • Key Control Standards Assessment within department with nil over dues.
  • Follow up on corrective / preventive actions to a point where concerns arising from these findings are addressed to a satisfactory level.

  • Ensure full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the Company / Group.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

Clients

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Graduate / Postgraduate, MBA, CA, ICWA.
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in handling systems such as Clearstream / Euroclear / Bony / Fedline.
  • Good knowledge of FMSO products.
  • Ability to handle stakeholders at Senior Management levels.
  • Strong Analytical ability and Eye for detail and good in numbers.
  • Excellent communication, Problem solving / Trouble shooting skills.
