Job Description


Role Responsibilities Strategy This role is responsible for managing and seamless delivery of Financial & Regulatory Reports - especially Capital Adequacy Ratio and Leverage Ratio returns. These are the key metrics/ ratios for any Bank and the reports (including COREP, Pillar 3 and External disclosures) goes to Regulators, Senior Management and other stakeholders at regular intervals. It focuses on the Capital data sourcing & Reconciliation, strong analytics to substantiate the movements, finalising regulatory reports, operational Checks Controls & Governance, Adjustments Governance, compliance to BCBS 239 norms and facilitating timely, seamless delivery per the defined SLA. This position is expected to drive tangible, sustainable and continuous improvement to KPIs and CTQ (Critical to Quality) metrices corresponding to Capital processes, while at the same time work closely and proactively with various teams including Change, Business, ITO, FOT, Technology and Testing teams to ensure that the changes land smoothly into BAU Business Balance Sheet Management- BSM (CoE) manages Regulatory Reporting and Analytics across Capital and Liquidity Streams for Group, Regions and Countries covering the entire Group Balance Sheet. This includes managing the complete assembly line of operations through Global Process Management model, providing assurances for the quality of data, monitoring service levels and quality of output, resolution of issues through Business support model and Insightful Analytics for Business Decision. Processes Ensure timely delivery of COREP - Capital Adequacy and Leverage reports and any other internal and external reporting requirements within the Basel frameworks Ensure timely delivery of other regulatory submissions including Monthly Capital plus, PRA, FSA and other Group Consolidation and Pillar 3 disclosures Strong analytics to substantiate numbers, movements and to provide commentaries which would reflect a true position of requirements Challenging Country Finance, other relevant Stakeholders for getting better quality of inputs and commentaries which facilitates quicker finalisation of reports and Senior management (SM) review packs/sign off In-depth understanding of existing and new Taxonomies/ Policy Statements, regulatory frameworks, regulations, guidelines with the ability to interpret and suggest relevant changes where required Exercising right level of diligence, control and governance to comply with bank&rsquos Data Quality and Reporting Standards including those that are prescribed by the Basel and Regulatory Environment in which the bank operates Taking responsibility for stakeholder management, both internal as well as external to ensure consistency and promptness in service delivery Ensure the various validations and reconciliation of financial data for their correctness and completeness Coordinate technology service deliveries as part of monthly-cycle in-line with the Capital reporting commitments, both on external and internal Comply, Monitor, Validate and Report all Key Performance Indicators within the overall service delivery framework. This includes identification, measurement, monitoring and control of all thresholds set as part of Governance Framework of the bank Participate and contribute in all ongoing change management initiatives to enhance the Capital Reporting framework that is aligned with the regulatory and bank&rsquos technology objectives Develop strong functional content across Basel frameworks, RWA Information & Capital Infra Functionalities and conduct trainings/share best practices across various teams and aim towards enhancing the analytical quotient in all reports submitted to the stakeholders Plan, Prepare, Allocate the delivery tasks amongst the team, assign specific responsibilities and ensure that the all the assurance deliverables are met within the agreed timelines Be aware of the quality and operational control requirements, bearing in mind the expected data quality required for regulatory reporting in compliance to the standards set by the regulators Disseminate the knowledge on existing as well as ongoing changes happening in the Regulatory Reporting area in an organized manner to the rest of the team members and bring them up to speed to perform the activities Work towards continuous improvement to identify and implement opportunities to decrease process turn-around time and improve productivity Continuously improve the quality of service to Capital consumers through regular effective engagement, e-2-e delivery and assurance across all regulatory and management reporting, by providing insights into RWA information as well People and Talent Managing excellent relationship through an established engagement model with all stakeholders with &lsquoThink Client\' Approach Always have an eye for Process Improvements and Innovations with an objective to &lsquoSimplify\', while still maintaining the value delivered Have an attitude to create a Collaborative Team Environment with &lsquoHuman\' element to build the function for the long-term Competencies enhancement and upskilling of people on BASEL IV, Regulatory interpretations, New Capital Regulations and thereby build a strong inhouse talent pool of domain experts Support and guide colleagues through knowledge sharing and coaching interventions and facilitating transparent communication including with stakeholders Risk Management The ability to interpret the Group or country capital reporting information, identify key issues or potential Risks based on the information and put in place appropriate controls and measures towards Risk Mitigation and remediation Governance Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group or country arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group or country operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
