LSEG are undergoing a multiyear programme to deliver a single platform for its Enterprise Resource Planning and Management. The purpose of the role is to partner with Beacon team members on financial and strategic decisions for our Enterprise Financial Systems and handle a multi-year budget of up to \xc2\xa3150m. The role will also partner with wider collaborators (integration technology and corporate functions) so that the programme is managed within standard LSEG financial reporting processes and boards.
  • Ensure Beacon programme leads are advised on the financial health of the programme; providing advice and steer.
  • Maintain and govern the business-case for the Beacon programme and maintain it through analysing return on investment and using data modelling techniques.
  • With PMO, own and drive financial reporting (monthly: Group Transformation Forum - GTF, Integration Management Office - IMO), and ensure that key partners are kept well informed.
  • Working with members of PMO, ensure that Clarity forecasts and financial updates are timely and accurate.
  • Daily management of at least two supporting roles.
  • Prepare financial reports for Integration Management and Board level meetings. Review and present monthly management accounts.
  • Actively look for ways to support stakeholders and present opportunities across the organisation.
  • Own and maintain the financial model, working alongside programme leads and sponsor so that all are made aware of opportunities and risks.
  • Increase the analytics capabilities across the Business Partnering and broader Finance teams, leading new initiatives to interrogate data, innovate reporting and improve insight.
  • Build relationships across a broad spectrum of team members and multiple business divisions.
  • Work closely with the PMO so that business outcomes, milestones and meaningful metrics are closely monitored and updated.
  • Maintain SOW governance and PO processes for Beacon
  • Working alongside PMO, ensure that team resource is managed and that the process is well maintained.
  • Drive the Budget processes, maintaining a focus on operational improvement and engaging with key collaborators within Technology and Operations in LSEG.
  • Work effectively with the Financial Controller and team to ensure the reporting and accounting is to a consistently high standard.
  • Drive the business through data driven observations and analytical insight.
Behaviours and skills required to be successful in the role:
  • Strong financial background, qualified accountant: ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Consistent record in Business Partnering
  • Consistent record of handling a large multi-year budget and many resources
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling background
  • Consistent record of leading Budgets and regular forecasting process across a number of business areas and functions
  • Ability to deliver Board level material to a high standard
  • Driver of change, constantly looking for improvements
  • Ability to influence senior management to consider key financial issues within the business
  • Experience in day-to-day management of contingent and permanent resources
  • Ability to deal with complex issues and ambiguity, and implement practical and innovative solutions to problems
  • Ability to lead and influence within a matrix model
