About the department

DD&IT GBS was established in February 2010 as an integral part of DD&IT in HQ. From the beginning in 2010, the unit has grown to 900+ employees till date. The main role of DD&IT GBS is to 'manage' IT, which includes System Management, Project Management, Infrastructure Management, Compliance Management, Security Management, Process Management and Vendor Management.

The Position

As a People Manager your overall responsible for all deliveries and contributions for the operation and maintenance of systems supported from Clinical Site & Patient Facing Solutions department under DD&IT Dev (Digital Data & IT) GBS, as part of DD&IT (Digital Data & IT) GBS (Global Business Service). The department consist of Specialists, Agile DevOps members, Scrum Masters, System Managers, Advanced Business Analysts and Business Analysts. You will report to Director of DD&IT Dev (Digital Data & IT) GBS (Global Business Service). You will be responsible for:

  • Accomplishing DD & IT (Digital Data & IT) GBS and DD&IT(Digital Data IT) Dev strategy and vision and ensure strong people management and nurturing of talents. You must adapt to global mind-set ensuring effective and efficient global collaboration.
  • Managing Stakeholder and Vendor. You shall handle communication and alignment with LoB (Line of Business) stakeholders, primarily System Owners, Project Owners and Business Process Owners. You will manage critical and major incidents related to the portfolio of IT systems, including restoration of services, communication to stakeholders etc. You will manage third party vendors and enforce agreed SLAs with vendors.
  • Budgeting for department and systems in scope. You will ensure the personal development of ART individuals, e.g., objectives, salary, and performance and work closely together with the RTE to ensure that agile processes, mindsets, and employee motivation.
  • Audits/inspections and ensuring compliance of systems/products anchored in department. You will ensure ITIL processes adherence.
  • Ensuring and supporting competence development as well as coaching to ART individuals to remove cultural and organizational impediments.
Your will additionally be responsible for:
  • As a part of Product Management in Clinical Site & Patient Facing ART you will be defining the priorities of features along with PO(s)(Product Owners) and SM(s) (System Managers).
  • ART backlog and identification of customer needs, prioritization of demands and content.
  • Development and maintenance of ART vision & Roadmap.
Qualifications
  • MSC, MBA, BA or similar graduate degree in relevant field (Software Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration).
  • 10+ years of experience with IT. You must have at least 7-8 years of relevant technology experiences.
  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent experience equivalent to intermediate level is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with external parties (vendors), stakeholders, user community.
  • Excellent writing, verbal, presentation, communication, and consensus building skills. You have high cultural sensitivity and ability to work across cultures. Above all you have passion for excellence with a concise, precise, and effective approach to problem solving and decision making.
