About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Azure Platform Engineer on the Enterprise Data & Analytics Data Platform team. This is a Hybrid position within our Enterprise Data & Analytics Organization. The role will align to Dow\'s Design Your Day approach and allows employees to work remotely but will also require onsite work based on project work and role needs. The selected candidate will be expected to live a commutable distance from Mumbai.

As an Azure Platform Engineer specializing in data and analytics solutions, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data platforms and analytics solutions on the Azure cloud platform to enable business objectives and accelerate Dow\'s digital transformation. Your primary focus will be on developing scalable and efficient data processing pipelines, implementing data integration and transformation processes, and ensuring the availability, security, and performance of data and analytics solutions. You will be using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Python, and Azure Cloud resources along with implementing complete CI/CD pipelines. The Azure Platform Engineer will work with a cross-functional team that includes Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Machine Learning Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable Azure cloud infrastructure to support our business needs. Also work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud-based solutions.
• Maintains a shared platform that aggregates the tools, services, workflows, and data used by engineers and technical teams across the organization.
• Develop and deploy scalable and efficient data processing pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other relevant technologies. Deployment of Azure services using Infrastructure as Code and Azure DevOps.
• Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies and tools related to data and analytics solutions so they can provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholders. Ensuring Change Management and Configuration Management standards are implemented and executed. Also ensure technical, architecture, and application designs aligns to company IT architecture and security standards.
• Implement DevOps security best practices on repository structure, branching strategy, and pipelines. Monitoring and optimizing the performance, availability, and reliability of the data platform. Includes defining and testing technical requirements and documenting operational support procedures.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant data platform experience (data ingestion, pipeline orchestration).
• Recent experience designing and deploying in Microsoft Azure\xe2\x80\x99s Environment

Preferred Skills

• Proficient knowledge of various cloud services from Microsoft Azure and experience building and deploying cloud solutions that adhere to the core principles of DevOps or DevSecOps processes and tools. Has proficient understanding of DevOps code versioning tools. Building APIs using frameworks to expose data to other applications and services.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Agile software development methodologies and work processes, especially Scrum. Can manage own work effort in multiple projects with little supervision and is interested about emerging technologies with the ability to quickly learn and exploit cutting edge offerings to achieve business objectives.
• Has ability to thrive in challenging situations and solve complex problems, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Concepts, how to, and best practices, along with hands on knowledge and experience in: Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and architecture. Proficient in Python & SQL to write code for data ingestion, processing, storage, and access. Data Ingestion, ETL, and ELT and various data sources like streaming data, structured, and unstructured data, DevOps / MLOps, Infrastructure as Code (e.g. scripting, ADF)
