Position Title: Senior IT Analyst

Job Location: Bangalore, KA-India

Summary

To independently perform accounting functions which require preparation, analysis, and communication of issues of normal to high complexity that support Caterpillar business processes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Incumbent will provide expertise on complex business and technical issues in Caterpillar SAP environments.

This position will/must:

• Incumbent will provide expertise on complex business, financial or managerial issues within a business unit or corporate environment.

• Additionally, this position will/must: -can analyze and understand impact and have a broader perspective on specific accounting issues.

• This requires a comprehensive understanding of Caterpillar\'s business accounting issues and full support of the unit leadership team. -act as a teacher on accounting issues to staff accountants as well as non-accountants-resolve issues independently-lead and/or direct teams within or outside of discipline addressing complex problems-take full responsibility for outcomes

• Accounting user representative for multiple or more complex systems

• .Possible areas of support include Redesigning and implementing of financial systems

• Provide user support and deep expertise of the financial systems to address user support issues that may arise in the all instances of SAP

• .Support and schedule the year end legal entity, statutory, and tax reporting of assets & depreciation schedules

• Participate in problem resolution process involving customer and information services interaction

• Support testing of functionality and upgrades related to Project Systems, CATS, and fixed asset processes

• Provide and maintain accurate user documentation and training as well as detailed process/transaction flows

• Coordinate with Basis teams and work on the regular patches in SAP, related to third party systems

• Monitor system performance and grief; notify users of announcements, issues or concerns

• Provide ongoing support to promptly address business critical incidents and manage ServiceNow tickets for support of these systems.

• Coordinate, participate and occasionally lead small cross-functional teams, with participation from finance (EFSS & Site accountants) and non-finance professionals to ensure customer needs are being met with the systems

• Have a comprehensive understanding of Caterpillar\'s business and accounting practices, systems and procedures, specifically capital assets.

• Assist engineering community to record time and costs appropriately to NPI Cost Objects and WBS elements

• Apply accounting knowledge and provide guidance on accounting issues\xe2\x80\xa2Support deployments and participate in testing, training, and hyper care.

• Required Qualifications:

• 4 years degree in accounting or equivalent or 4 year Non-accounting degree with a minimum of 3/4 years knowledge on FICO (accounting process) in SAP.

• 8-9 years of financial systems / support experience /SAP experience

• . Proven record of strong initiative, leadership, accountability, and effective communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• \xe2\x80\xa2Strong in SAP FI experience

• Strong Project management experience

Good to Have:

• SAP certification on FICO modules by recognized organization
