Job Summary

As a part of our continued expansion, Targray requires the services of a Senior Financial Analyst to join our India Office in Gurgaon, Haryana. Reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst's role will involve both financial and management accounting. The candidate will also play a pivotal role in the forecasting process and month-end close to provide financial insights for strategic decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to assist with financial forecasting.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly and year-end closings by working closely with Controllership, including analyzing trends/variances.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports required for management decision-making
  • Perform various analysis of financial and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with the broader Finance team in Montreal and Gurgaon on various areas including financial reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and other departments.
  • Assist with report automation and continuous process improvements.
  • Additional ad hoc duties required by international team members or divisional managers and will continuously work closely with finance group in Montreal and Gurgaon.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 4 - 6 years of financial reporting/management experience.
  • Professional accounting designation required.
  • Willing to work in 12.00pm to 8.30pm (IST) fixed shift hours.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent (100% fluent) English language skills (spoken, written and comprehension)
  • Keen interest in sustainable commodity trading is a must
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge and application of accounting principles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of basic coding and/or data visualization (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau) preferred
  • Prior experience with BI tools (e.g., Prophix, Power BI) a plus
