Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing The role will understand REW vertical and its short-term business plan and goals, They will work on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors and will influence the team towards a set course of action. Direction will be provided to employees according to established policies and management guidance. They should show advanced business partnering & presentation skills and proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment while helping other members of the team attain the same goals. This role will provide direct supervision to project consultants, will act as advisor to REW partners and become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. The Work: What type of work will you be doing What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis Core responsibilities: Effectively establish a finance business partnership with the real estate management team, real estate construction team and VP of REW. Reconciliation of costs to GL in SAP, forecasting and budgeting. Work directly with accounting to understand GL entries and confirm proper accounting treatment of expenses. Understanding and forecasting impact of changes and other elements against the project budget. Work closely with REW project management team and REW Operational leadership to provide monthly and quarterly reporting metrics and variance reporting. Provide financial modeling and analytical support related to VMware\'s accounting policies of depreciation calculations and other P&L impact of capital project. Analyzing, synthesizing and translating data into key strategic inputs and insights that will drive strategic decision making within the Finance and Facilities organizations. Partnering with the Project manager, the cost consultant, and the VMW project management team & attend key project review and planning meetings. Assist in creation and presentation of project status to the executive management. Liaise with cross-functional teams like Internal Audit, Treasury, Tax, etc as needed. Specific Industry and/or Technical Knowledge Prior experience in FP&A or related function in a comparable company. Adept in periodical finance close activities, forecasting and budgeting. Exposure to project management. Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting principles. Functional knowledge of ERP/Oracle/SAP. Strong Written/Verbal communication skills. Capable of handling internal and external stake holders. Should have a customer centric attitude. Strong background on policies/procedures.
