Job Overview

The Commercial FP&A Analyst role will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support to the Commercial team within the medical business. The role will report into FP&A all will interact directly with Commercial and Finance functions. The successful candidate must be able to achieve results through influence and maintain good working relationships across multiple time zones and cultures. Supported by internal learning opportunities and with exposure to new markets, this role has plenty of scope for growth and progression as the business grows.

Job Responsobilities:

Analysis/Decision Support

  • Prepare Quarterly global customer revenue & profitability reporting
  • Partner with Product Management for growth initiatives
  • Prepare and present customer profitability 9-box analysis
Rebates
  • Prepare and present rebate forecasts by customer based on S&OP supply file
  • Partner with Commercial Account Managers to prepare financial reconciliations for customer rebates & ensure accurate & timely pay out
  • Partner with FSSC team on monthly entries for rebates, ensure rebate balance sheet account complete &reconciled for month end process
  • Attend monthly Legal Review to ensure new rebate contracts are identified and correctly forecasted for
Bad Debt/Aged Balances
  • Facilitate weekly reviews for specific aged GAM or regional accounts to identify root cause & action to recover cash
  • Present to Management Team on escalation issues for credit hold
  • Identify judgmental reserves required for aged debt and associated inventory, work with FSSC teams to record reserves on the books
  • Prepare monthly global bad debt report and commentary for variances
  • Partner with Legal Team on recovery of debts which have moved to Legal
DSO
  • Prepare quarterly DSO forecast including adjustments to customer terms
  • Prepare monthly global aged AR report and commentary for DSO variances
  • Identify opportunities for DSO improvement, work with Commercial to execute
  • Quantify impact of change in DSO for customer negotiations
Other
  • Drive continuous improvements by leveraging best practices, standardization of processes and automation.
  • Assist with ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required.
  • Build and maintain periodic analysis such as Backlog fan, customer scorecards, PMIP scorecards etc.
Desired Candidate Profile:
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated data analytics and ability to convert data into management presentations with recommendations
  • Strong financial reconciliation acumen
  • Interest in understanding the medical business, customer insights and market dynamics
  • Experience with TE data sources preferred (Hyperion Planning, HFM, TED2.0, Tableau, Power BI, SAP Projects)
  • Bachelor's degree (Finance preferred)
