Strong understanding of project life cycle and have successfully led multiple business change projects within portfolio through all stages of the project life cycle to successful implementation and operational handover. . Understand current IT developments, industry direction and have a broad knowledge of IT and an excellent understanding of how technology impacts business . Help to coordinate financial forecasting and planning for Notifications platform. . Maintain communication and escalation channels for tech delivery work stream. . Proven ability to thrive in a fast moving rapidly changing environment, decisive and willing to take ownership of risks, issues and their resolution. . Proven track record of IT delivery management for a fast paced delivery environment portfolio wide. . Ownership of a number of different environment delivery and making sure that they align to the project dates. . Provide technical leadership within VCC Alerts function, analyse requirements - provide innovative and correct solutions. . Partner with the other VCC functions for tech related topics, and imbibe them into the deliverables . End to end accountability for technical delivery of assigned projects with high volume and quality output . Work with the business to rapidly build the domain expertise and influence required to understand, and challenge business and functional requirements What will you be doing . Ensures that there is a business perspective on how the project deliverables will be delivered to the business, including planning around key business cycles, selecting appropriate customers for migration, etc. . Planning with assignment work in timescale to meet budget and quality . Documenting all work in accordance with agreed standards and reuse in mind . Has an acknowledged area of expertise and understands how the team can deliver software more effectively. . Using direction provided by leadership and own understanding of project and BUK objectives, make decisions within the scope of a given project to ensure objectives are fully achieved and to realise opportunities / mitigate risks that may arise. Work to maximise the value of any given delivery . Participate in Go / No-Go meetings and provide inputs from technical side . Participate in Post Release Reviews to ensure all lessons learnt on technical things are documented and incorporated in future releases/projects . Closely work with other Project/Release managers & support them in all activities during the entire life cycle of the project . Identify key design/build issues and develop options and recommendations to resolve. . Provide knowledge sharing and mentoring to junior members of the team. . Partner with the other VCC functions for technical related topics, and imbibe them into the deliverables . Should have working experience on A I Continuous, Conduct -IT, BRE and Batch Processing. . Coordinate with multiple component teams on build activities and on resolving issues. . Controls the scope of projects, ensuring that appropriate change control is exercised. . Tracks and reports against these activities to ensure progress. . Create appropriate communication plan to support Business plan & execute on it along with the handover to the live support systems teams. . What we're looking for: . Hands on experience of analysis and development of Abinitio ETL (with Real time processing skills), Teradata and MI reporting solutions . Application of SQL and databases including data transformation . Strong reporting and communication skills . Working on a number of tasks on a variety of different projects at the same time. . Ability to build effective internal relationships . Ability to work with an existing body of code (maintenance, feature additions, debugging, etc.) and process Focused and make less dependent structures . Must have experience of working in an IT project environment and an understanding of IT and business strategies. Experience gained from outside the Bank can be very valuable particularly large organisations and/or suppliers or manufacturers. Skills that will help you in the role: .
