Location - Pune/ Bangalore Job - Senior Engineering Manager Purpose/summary Maersk is going through times of unprecedented change. Asset & Cost Transparency is a key capability within this function. As a Senior Engineering Manager heading the Asset & Cost Transparency team, you will be an enabler in a fundamental shift in how we manage technology assets throughout their lifecycle. You will be responsible for managing a team that will rollout asset discovery tools to all of Maersk (incl. new and existing brands). In addition, you will help drive Maersk\'s ITFM agenda forward through collaboration with our finance & technology organisation. Key responsibilities Manage, mentor, and lead a team of 8-10 experienced professionals across ITFM & asset discovery Create the product development strategy for the asset landscape that ensures the needs and expectations of identified customer groups are met Manage the delivery of the strategy including the rollout of asset discovery across Maersk brands and platforms Handle the design and delivery of product initiatives to agreed timescales and budgets Manage the definition, development and delivery of a strategy to ensure products are launched and maintained according to the Product Development Business process automation to improve the experience for customers interacting with the product and improve effectiveness of data Work with technology/finance organisation to support development activities on new and existing ITFM services Recruit the right engineering talent and support their continued development through mentoring and coaching Set team objectives to support corporate strategies together with the measurable method to monitor and drive the outcome Coach the wider team to embed an engineering culture and to effectively use agile methods to deliver value and improve continuously Foster a positive work environment and leading best practice and innovative techniques to always improve Required Experience 14+ years\' experience delivering technical solutions covering development, architecture, quality assurance, and support, of which 3+ years should be managing engineering team members Experience in creating product development strategy and delivery of the same Fluency in one or more relevant programming languages Good understanding of API driven design and asynchronous integrations Understanding of ITFM required Ability to work with senior stakeholders to distil complex Financial and IT information into business aligned metrics Experience of working with large complex data sets and ability to build solutions based on complex cost models to meet the needs of the organization System proficiency in data creation, modelling and reporting Proven ability to interact successfully with a variety of stakeholders and actively involved with the Scrum teams to achieve milestones and goals Values metrics and uses data driven decisions to improve and create innovative solutions to deliver goals Who Are We Looking For Ability to work in a high-performing business critical team and continually grow the culture and best practices Has an engineering mindset to achieving business outcomes and objectives Experience developing and reviewing complex technical requirements and translating them into actionable tasks for engineers Ability to seek different perspectives and relevant context to effectively navigate ambiguity Ability to foster an inclusive team culture that enables team members of all backgrounds to succeed and thrive Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to drive conversations across multiple teams to a conclusion Proactive and entrepreneurial to find solutions to problems Strong interest in developing and inspiring others Shipping / Logistics Industry knowledge an advantage
