Role purpose and key accountabilities

The candidate will be responsible to understand the Customer requirements mentioned in Order and need to perform thorough check/feasibility including end to end capacity check during planning, in addition to Layer 2 transmission planning coordination with various teams like CST/ Engineering / Capacity Management is must. Gather and analyse Customer specific requirements and based on those inputs plan the services on different platform like SDH / PDH / DWDM (Optical) / MSP / ATM / DSLAM Networks and NGN networks as per routing guidelines/deployment rules.

Candidate will be responsible to support customer projects. He/she is expected to have good understanding on current platforms the manage the work efficiently. Candidate must demonstrate Colt values at all stages.

Need to be familiar with multiple applications used within Colt like Siebel , XNG , XTRAC , Google earth (.KMZ) etc..

Core Tasks

• L2 Planning (Routing) of circuits as per customer requirement taking consideration of Colt network architecture, routing rules etc and trigger the downstream teams appropriately for various tasks.
• Update various databases like XNG, Siebel etc providing the details of provisioning of circuits.
• Adhere to OLA and Quality KPI as per defined target.
• Maintain high quality of output and ensure completion of tasks with a target of zero errors.
• Real time closure of Order Handling System tools & XTRAC (workflow tools) tasks.
• Perform quality check and drive initiatives to improve quality / accuracy at provisioning stage.
• Handling complex solution related deliveries like Wave,NGN Packet & Ethernet VPN/ Bespoke etc.
• Leading & executing delivery projects (Customer & migration projects).
• Error free delivery as per Customer requirements.
• Co-ordinate with different stakeholder during delivery of orders.
• Independently Drive CSI initiative and project across function and Global SD.

Handling complex customer projects independently and ensure smooth delivery through delivery cycle.

• Quality KPI - First Time Right during delivery of orders.
• OLA - Timely delivery of orders.
• Lead Time conformance.
• Support for MRR target achievement.
• Living Colt Values.

Key Stakeholders:

Regular interaction with following teams:

• Country Delivery teams - Order Management, Fibre, Installation, Node, Scheduling, OLO Delivery teams.
• NOC, Engineering and Capacity management team, Order Entry and applications support teams.
• Change management & TAC.

Essential requirements [skills, experience, qualifications]

• The ideal candidate with 04-07 years of relevant industry experience in Planning (Access and Core Network). Good understanding/knowledge on installations & commissioning / testing / NOC environment (on Optical / Packet / PDH / SDH, DWDM and EoSDH / IP), and have practical experience of Bandwidth provisioning and testing. Knowledge on MSP & NGN technologies will be preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of Transmission, Ethernet / DWDM / OTN / MSP / M MSP / DSLAM Networks / NG Packet Network Technologies.
• Excellent understanding of Metro-Ethernet technologies and MPLS based L2 VPN services (Ethernet P2P or P2MP).
• Good knowledge of various interface used to deliver Data, Voice and IP based circuits on transmission network.
• B.E. / B. Tech specialized in "Electronics & Communication" Engineering is preferred.
